Vetinari wasn't ever an evil man. He was a member of the Assassin's Guild, which made him a hard and ruthless man - just like Viracroix. But also like Viracroix, he actually cared about his city and made great pains to say he was a benevolent tyrant. And he meant it. He wanted the best for his people.
And he did have a very dry sense of humour.
And he did have a very dry sense of humour.
Like I said, he was the 'neccesary evil' to keep the guilds in line and drag the city kicking and screaming into the century of the fruitbat.
I always found he had a very humorous sense of justice. Like when he promotes Vimes or offers people the opportunity to walk away from him, through that door in the side of his office. The one that opens up over nothing.

Hello, all you OOPs fanciers! I'm here to remind you once again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
It closed out last month at 1135 votes and 44th place. It's currently at 5407 votes and 46th place. The highest it's reached is 36th place, and the top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 20,000 votes.
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

The dramatic increase of votes for OOPs and the other comics which are its usual neighbors on that site since shortly after the beginning of the month is remarkable, to say the least. Thousands of votes have shown up out of nowhere. There's definitely something very wonky going on here.
In the last week or so, OOPs has been yoyoing back and forth between the high sixties and low thirties every day. At this rate, the monthly ranking that OOPs ends up with is totally up to chance at the end of the month.

He's such an adorable goofball.
Look, the fact that he is one out of, like two(!) Baxxid who killed someone and then rejected it completely, shows his convictions run incredibly deep.
And then he gets dragged into this nightmare. Punishment, accidentally killed someone during said punishment, had his worldview turned upside-down, had it turned upside-down again, now has to face being isolated forever from most of his peers... can anyone blame that poor bladenoodle for falling apart? It's a miracle he's as composed as he is.
