This first bit of news should probably have gotten its own entry but: after two and a half years of engagement, me and my partner  BleachSoulReaper01 are getting married this year! I'm so excited, yet the process of planning and organising it is stressful and frightening, especially given the geographic concerns and needing to make sure my foxy groom from abroad is legal lol.
Part of the stress, unfortunately, is money. Neither family is particularly well off, especially as foxy's family recently held a wedding, and my family has typical financial concerns for a low income house, previously on Universal Credit, in the UK lmao.
This is where you come in. Now, I'm not gonna ask for money just straight up, we're not a charity, we're not in actual danger or anything, that would be unfair and greedy. It would help both wedding expenses and non-wedding expenses, though, if we did earn some more money. I've also been meaning to use my 1st Class Honours degree in Creative and Professional Writing more, too, so guess what, I'm open for writing commissions again! I'm open to quite a lot, a little more than last time actually, so feel free to shoot a message to ask if I'll do something for you. SFW or NSFW is all good, but of course there will be things I won't write, put my name to or anything, so don't think I'm naive and susceptible to sus stuff!
I've copied the pricing scheme from my previous journal about this, just taken out the thought process and extra details. If you want to know why I came up with the prices I have, check out the year-old journal about writing commissions. Anyway, the pricing goes as follows:
up to 500 words - £5
500 - 1000 - £10
1000 - 1500 - £15
At least temporarily as far as:
9500 - 10000 - £100
NSFW adds 50% to each 500 word segment that includes NSFW material; a pure 500 words of NSFW will cost £7.50, whereas a story of 3000 words with 1/3 (1000 words) being NSFW would cost ((6 x 5) + (2 x 2.5) = 30 + 5 = 35) £35. I'll help you calculate the rates if necessary.
Unlike before, though, the method of payment is... tricky. I recently discovered unauthorised purchases on my PayPal, and have been fighting with PayPal for what feels like at least a week trying to get the money back. Therefore, if there *is* a better way of paying me that doesn't go through PayPal (for instance, paying an artist through Kofi still went through PayPal, but maybe that's an option rather than a requirement), I will take it, however I do still have my PayPal (for now) so it's there if absolutely necessary.
Now, a follow-up. If you're a writer, or you're writing something, and you want a proof-reader, I am also open for that. Having played more furry visual novel stuff recently, done my degree, and continued to read in my own time, I know that everything needs a run through by someone: believe me, some of those visual novel text-boxes are *rough*. I will charge the same way as original writing, just half price and without NSFW extras. For instance, if you send me a 500 word flash fiction piece, SFW or NSFW, I'll go through it, providing comments, suggested changes, spellchecks, grammar checks, and so on, and charge £2.50 as a sort-of consultancy fee. Everything would be a suggestion, and if it needs saying, I won't judge anyone for any mistakes you make. If English isn't your first language, don't worry, my suggestions aren't me critiquing you, they're me trying to help you understand the complexities of what is probably the most infuriating language on the planet lmao.
I don't know how to estimate how long each piece will take, especially as two factors really pull this in both directions:
The wedding is in September, so I need the money *soon*. Therefore I will try to get everything complete as soon as possible.
I have a job at a local supermarket, working 10-7 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, and as a result of needing extra money I may well need to take overtime shifts as well, so I may not have much actual time to work on these.
As a result, the best I can do is say "I'll do what I can, but you'll need to bear with me." A little patience can go a long way, but I won't make you wait ages.
