If he was a pokemon I would say either a Meowth or a purloin as for why it's because of his personality and also keeping him as a feline pokemon

Could you elaborate on personality? Purrloin is mischievous and likes to manipulate and steal (or at least, the species trends towards that behavior). Meowth I always thought of as being similar (probably because of the anime), but I suppose it moreso just likes shiny things.

Well actually a purloin can be loyal, smart and protective as for a Meowth, cunning, resourceful and kind as their positive traits

Well, as you can imagine, I have my bias towards the eevee line. But he might make a cute Sprigatito too

It's always gonna be eevee due to popularity, they can be a dog/cat/fox/rabbit so it's pretty easy to fit in.
