Gift art for Kaya Cheetah, of her vixen character Patch. This is the first badge I ever did, completed this afternoon (April 7, 2012)! Also my first 100% digital piece (I usually do my sketching via traditional media first, then scan it in for the rest, but this time did everything on the tablet).

I threw the rough sketch together rather hastily a few weeks ago, only intending to use it for practice on ink linework and coloring while learning a new art program. It looked really rough in the beginning, and I had not originally planned on making it an official drawing. But as I worked with it and refined it, to my surprise it kept getting better, so I ended up finishing it. I do like this now. I was going to eventually make a badge for Patch anyway, but here it is now, sooner than later! No doubt more gift art will be coming from me in the future for some other very special individuals (no timetable for this, though).
