I love this game so much, and this has almost everything from it. I've been carving it on and off since before the summer, and I'm so happy it's finished. It turned out better than I could have hoped!

Well, I really have a made up blacksmith from the 1870's to blame. You see, my fake parents wanted me to be a blacksmith, but I wanted to be a wood carver. The local blacksmith encouraged me to follow my dreams, so I ran away from town and traveled to Flintlock to become a Woodcarving apprentice.
That's quite the opinion you have there. I can't say that I share it.
Translation: I think we SHOULD remake this game forever and ever. Let's not do something different or even something not different, just long since appreciated. Because let's face it, it's the first 3D Zelda game and therefore the best, I don't make the rules I just so heartily adhere to them.

I thought I was pretty clear in stating that people have decided that they only want to play Zelda games that mimic OOT. Which makes for people like myself never, ever being excited about a new Zelda release even given my intense love for the classic games of the series. Happens with most good series. Newer-aged fanbase gets a hold of it, and down the tubes it goes.
I think the games are still great, but they've gotten so easy because they're marketed to a much larger and younger crowd, most of whom wouldn't enjoy a challenging game. They're still fun and the artistic value and story are incredible, but they're too easy to enjoy as a good game.
Ocarina of Time will always be a classic, and hold a special place in my heart, but I like Twilight Princess a little better. I think it had a better story line, and drew me in deeper, though I found myself going through the game seriously missing the Kokiri and their village. I understood that it took place in the future, but the Kokiri were supposed to be immortal fairy folk. So I never knew why there wasn't some mention of them in the game, even as an easter egg, but that's beside the point. x3
The only downside to Twilight Princess was how easy it was. I loved the game and it did really draw me in. The story was incredible! But I beat it in two days without really trying that hard. That's why Skyward Sword is high up on my list. It had a lot of really challenging puzzles.
Ocarina of Time will forever hold a very special place in my heart though.

**SPOILERS**
Yeah, Skyward Sword was a beast to beat. Especially The Imprisoned. Twilight Princess wasn't really easy, it was just a little too linear, though the Water Temple was a bit annoying with that damn rotating stair case.
The thing with Skyward Sword was the flying around to different islands. It was kinda fun at first, but it got old quick. Most of the islands were way too small for anything much to happen, the only thing interesting was the giant storm cloud ball which you thankfully had to return to a few times throughout the game (I'd often fly in there anyway, just to see it again). I wanted to be able to explore the land a bit more. And again, like with Twilight Princess, I wanted to see some mention of the Kokiri. Even if it was just as an Easter Egg, like some writing somewhere or a character saying something about them. They are supposed to be an immortal fairy race, yet there's no mention of them anywhere; not even in the forest. I know it takes place in the very beginning of the story line, way before any of the other games, but the Kokiri had to come from somewhere. I don't know, I guess it's just me since that doesn't seem to be a sore point for anyone else, I just miss the guys I guess. =3
Skyward Sword is a great game, but Twilight Princess is the only one of the two I find myself replaying multiple times. I only hope the new Zelda game pulls me in as much as that did.

True, but the Kikwi and the Kokiri were different races. Though, in Wind Waker, it is stated that the Kokiri evolved into the Koroks because of the Great Flood, and in Twilight Princess it is suggested that they evolved into monkeys to be better suited to their forest home; though that's a suggestion only, with no tie-in to actual facts, based on the symbol tattooed on one of the monkey's shoulders (it's suggestive of the Kokiri Emerald).
In Skyward Sword, there was no mention of anything like that, nor were there any pictures/carvings that hinted at them, so that's why I was a little annoyed. At least in Wind Waker, which took place several centuries after the events in Ocarina of Time, they actually say what happened to them. And in Twilight Princess there's at least a nod towards them in the form of the Forbidden Forest, the Lost Woods, and the Forest Temple, as well as the symbol tattooed on that monkey's shoulder.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Especially since the story behind the Kokiri is that they were originally Hyrulian children that wandered into the Kokiri Forest and stayed there. So I guess I can forgive them for not mentioning the Kokiri in Skyward Sword.
I can't wait for the new Zelda title to come out for the Wii-U, the trailors I saw for it looked epic.
