Some lady told me that I wasn't really transgendered because I had no desire to change my body. I did not want to pick a fight with her since she lives in my fiance's house, so I said nothing. Regardless if you are a former therapist or not (she was), you have no right to say that to somebody. I only say I would not change my body because I am terrified of surgery and the like, especially when it isn't perfected yet. That conversation stemmed from why I don't wear makeup anymore and why I do not dress feminine. I told her I love and accept myself for what I am, no matter what anyone says. I know who I am and she has no business in that.
That's what this piece reminded me of. Very appropriate quote. :)
