Texas Stereotypes aren't Cute Hollywood!
Remake of an old drawing I made in 2021, but yeah I absolutely hate how my own state is portrayed in fiction and of course films and TV shows, and yes that includes cartoons! Even Japan portrays Texas in a cringe inducing way with the whole all Texans are cowboys or country raised folks like in Doraemon for example with Dora The Kid who's clearly a stereotype of Texans. It seems to me that the people of Hollywood are ignorant of cultures outside of their own like in the case of States, Provinces, Countries, Territories and of course other countries. It's like guys the world isn't black and white! This goes for you writers that don't know shit about our lone star state, like this includes Disney and their cringe portrayal of Texas because according to Disney we live in the old west because apparently Texas isn't advanced now like it would've also been back then, I mean guys Texas Instruments is a thing! We have very advanced technology here we don't live in the past, we've got big cities and some of the most popular and very hugely populated cities and areas too in the US! Not everything in Texas is cowboys, ranches, ranchers, country and everything cause cities exist too. Tho I grew up visiting the country thanks to my cousins and family I mostly grew up in the city a small city that is that I was born in and grew up in, Hollywood is lying to you about us, like for real man visit Texas you'll like it here, you'll find certain businesses, places and stuff you will not find in any other state, Texas is the original home of Bucee's, we've got HEB, Whataburger and many other things that you will not find in any other state in Texas, the Bucee's outside of Texas are inferior to the ones in Texas cause remember in the past before the 2020s and 2010s if you wanted to go to a Bucee's gas station you could only go to one in Texas. And believe me guys that Sandy Cheeks character is an inaccurate representation of Texas and is nothing but a cringe worthy stereotype of my state. That's all I have to say man, Hollywood do us a favor and do your research on states outside of California and of course hire locals from Texas to properly write and develop your Texan characters and Texan settings like not everybody in Texas is from the country or is a rancher or cowboy again, the world is not black and white not everybody lives in ranches or owns a ranch, lives in the country or is a cowboy or cowgirl. And again people in Texas are not stupid and uneducated and certainly don't all live in towns or whatever. And don't exaggerate our Southern accents like we don't talk like that or act like that. That's all I gotta say, peace! And also no one says howdy here.

at least, the cowboy trope is kind of accurate.
have you seen how movies portrait Latin American countries? specially countries like Mexico, Colombia or Peru...for them, we live in the freakin jungle. lol.
and there is no way they cant find actual Spanish speaking actors to play Spanish speaking characters... the guy from breaking bad, you know, the guy who plays temu's Fidel Castro on farcry 6? the character is supposedly from Chile...and Esposito's Spanish is, at best, a bad joke.
Hollywood is too busy hiding pedos and trying to keep diddy quiet to actually care about how much they insult other countries...and even north American citizens apparently.

Right except you're wrong about the cowboy trope my guy because I'm from Texas myself. You'll rarely see cowboys tho in the city unless they live in some neighborhood near the city or the countryside of it, most people living in cities are well city people like myself you'll only find them mostly in smaller cities, sometimes big cities and of course in towns with less population. Except even if it's true cowboys are nothing like how they're portrayed in media I know it's inaccurate because I have a family that live in the country and are cowboys themselves and it's nothing like how it's portrayed in fiction. It's all exaggerated bullshit. And again like I said it may be a fact but it's not like that how you see it in cinema and television it's all exaggerated and lies
lol. sorry.
when i said kind of accurate, i meant compared to latin america, sorry.
and man, tell me about it. lol...even anime has done some terrible things on that area, there is a series, BLACK LAGOON, very good series. there is an episode with an scene that happens on venezuela. and man, the cringe level is over 9000.

The way they portray the US is annoying too lol it's cringe and inaccurate too with the cringe English moments they put here in there and mock our culture and country like we're all stupid ignorant white people. While it is true that a lot of people in the US are ignorant and racist and xenophobic not all of us are. I am not one of them and I ain't white either which is another inaccurate stereotype about the US is that we're all loud and obnoxious tourists when we're not, and certainly not everyone in the US is white, most people here are either Latino/Hispanic, black, Asian and Native American. I get it tho that the US has a bad reputation of inaccurately portraying foreigners and other parts of the world but it's not always with bad intention as I can see since they're just basing these characters off of commonly overused annoying stereotypes and tropes you've seen to death which while cringe inducing I can appreciate the effort at very least to include characters that aren't from well the US, but they should at least be a little more respectful and not use the foreign characters as just for jokes and for laughs in a burlesque manner. Unlike me where even if I know little to nothing about cultures and countries outside of my own I try my best to respect other countries and all with my characters to say screw Stereotypes, tropes and avoid xenophobia and racism.
Yeah it's all cringe inducing stereotypes and tropes, I say that because I myself am from Texas and the shit you see in fiction portraying my state is insulting and is inaccurate to Texas we're not like that! And we don't talk or act like that. These companies are lying to you about Texas, Texas is actually a lot better than what you see in entertainment.
I've passed by San Antonio but never actually stopped by there in April 2022. I went to El Paso that same year, and I went to Austin in October 2021. Austin is actually the 2nd capital I've been to because Sacramento was actually my first back in June 2019, And I've been to Houston all my life. And I've been to Mission and McAllen too and Dallas at least thrice in 2020 & 2021. I also went to Oklahoma and Kansas as well and yes including California. I live in a small city close to Houston. And yeah in terms of California I've been to NorCal and SoCal like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Anaheim, Burbank and Universal City
