Bio
Pursuit in Art
Sketch is one of Lucky’s sons back when he opened the lab in Pangorio’s Sun City. Sketch worked alongside one of his brothers Runo.He found Ampy’s clumsiness amusing and enjoyed when his dad would often wear Ampy, even wearing the Ampharos himself.
As much as Sketch enjoyed working on the lab, he didn’t enjoy it as much as his brother Runo as he preferred painting and sketching instead of doing lab work or maintenance.
When Sketch got older, he decided to leave the lab to pursue his own dreams and career.
He got by selling paints and sketches at flea markets where he had a small kiosk where he did pamp designs and caricatures. His pictures sold well enough for him to get a small apartment in Nacrene City. He was one of the best artists in his field, what irritated him was that Crinklz Gazette labeled him as the second best artist, just below another artist named Artisan, a resident of Crown Reef.
He decided he'd find another use for his art skills that could be put to use.
Working for the Guild
Sketch met with Wigglytuff and Fujin offering his skills to make wanted posters and rescue messages for their bulletin boards. They accepted him and were put to work with Dugtrio who was in charge of updating the boards, though it irritated him that he had to do more work while Dugtrio was shirking his duties staring and talking to the ocean, rolling his eyes.
Sketch was surprised that so many pokemon are on wanted posters with various bounties, he was happy being a sketch artist to victims, but he did wish they were more accurate instead of being either vague or unsure.
Fujin was so impressed with his drawing abilities that he gave him his own room in the guild and they'd send intels to help with more accurate descriptions, which he welcomed. Sketch’s drawing capabilities allowed him to draw at least 5 to 10 wanted posters daily, though he did wish they'd pay him more instead of the majority of it going to wigglytuff. Dan did often visit him at his booth telling him to cheer up as an opportunity could come any day now. With a little motivation, he went back to work on posters.
At nights he’d often go to Spinda's Cafe to unwind, have some drinks and take Bounty requests. He got to know Team Pokepals, an expedition team well known who often hung out with him and bought him drinks since he couldn't afford to get even a gummi beverage and has no dungeon experience to get his own.
Telling him that eventually a big opportunity will arise for him someday and to just enjoy himself and to prepare for the morning motto.
Sketch also felt a little upset that they just threw his posters out after the bounty had been acquired. Or even using them as paper airplanes or origami. Fujin and Wigglytuff told him there was no need to keep them as they'd just take up space on the board. He wishes they'd at least archive them or something since he works hard on those drawings, but said nothing as he doesn't want to be denied dinner or upset Wigglytuff.
Working for Pamper Down
Several months went by, somewhere in Treasure Town, a Hakko onamed Jakko was making some arrests in Treasure Town when he noticed some wanted posters in the trash, impressed with them and went to the Guild to find out more.
Fujin said the posters were done by a Smeargle named Sketch Hisui, a guild recruit. He wondered if they were related to Runo.
Sketch met the Hakko o who was really impressed with his talent and told him they had an opening at Pamper Down for a prison sketch artist, he said he’d be perfect for the job and they'd pay him better, but knows he has a duty at the guild, so Jakko gave him a few days to think about it. Fujin saw Sketch’s eye light up and was saddened to let him go, but didn't want to deny him an opportunity. Even Wigglytuff saw Sketch’s tail wag and didn't want his friend to miss out.
Sketch bid farewell as he was put on a prison ship. Fujin and Wigglytuff are glad he at least left on good terms unlike Torrie who flat out abandoned them and never reported back. Dan was saddened to see Sketch leave, but he told him to take a good opportunity. Dan would miss him and hopes they might see each other again someday.
During his travel, he and Jakko really bonded, and warned that the prison was a whole nother level. Sketch also saw that Jakko saved his sketches from the trash as most of them are in Pamper Down and didn't want to see them wasted and was sure the Head Jailer there had something in mind, showing he did have some respect for him.
After arriving, Sketch was overwhelmed as he heard about it, but he's actually in it, Jakko told him he's the second outsider to ever enter this prison, even being greeted by his brother Runo, who was looking forward to working with him.
Jakko introduced him to the Head Jailer, an Alakazam everyone calls ‘Judge’ Jakko asked if Mako was in as he wanted to give Sketch a job as a sketch artist.
Judge read the Sketch was serious about this job and Jakko already presented him with Sketch’s samples.
He wanted to give Sketch a trial. Judge identified and described an S rank outlaw which Sketch drew perfectly, impressing him and giving Jakko an idea. Judge directed them to the elevator to Level 4 where the warden's office is located.
Mako saw interest in Sketch’s work and decided to hire him, on the recommendation of Jakko, he would work with Judge on Level 0 as his partner.
Sketch got fitted for a uniform to begin immediately as a Sketch artist that Judge would archive with criminal records, making Sketch delighted with his new work.
Sketch enjoyed seeing prisoners get turned into various diapers, diaper critters and plush toys. He bonded real well with Judge, and Jakko was one of the few he'd listen to, making one of the few who wasnt hardened.
Several months went by and unlike most of the staff, Sketch never was hardened by the setting and even got real close with his brother, Runo. When he found out that Runo would be posing as a spy for Dark Gator Pirates. Sketch wished him luck as he read about some of Krokos criminal ways.
Much to Sketch and Judge’s surprise, a charmeleon brought in a red Lugia who captured some bounties and even prevented a prison break asking for work.
Judge sensed him to be Mars Quicksilver, which confused him as he heard from his father that the Quicksilver bloodline ended, Judge probably assumed he was just using the name and had no bad feelings towards him.
Sketch saw the red lugia go down the elevator, but felt that Judge was off.
Sketch told him to shake it off as it didn't matter if his last name was ‘Quicksilver’ or if he was just posing as one as there’s work to do. Judge agreed, given it didn't bother him.
Siwa War
Sketch saw that four dark gator pirates who were wanted by Kroko himself were arrested. They claimed their captain set them up for failing to protect his son Krimson, but Judge did not buy it as he sent all four of them to Level 4.
Sketch handed over the posters to be stamped and archived. Judge did a mind read on them and heard there was going to be a war coming.
Mars and Jakko were already trying to talk Mako into joining, but refused to get the prison involved as Kroko had protection, which is why all the dark gators bounties were frozen over.
Luckily Sketch was ready to unfreeze those bounties as he knows Kroko will lose.
Siwa Aftermath
Kroko lost the war, some of his crew were sent to prison while he awaited trial.
Several days passed by and Sketch heard about a prison break in Pangoro where Kroko and the remnants of his crew escaped. This filled Sketch with glee as now he can unfreeze and distribute the wanted posters given there now escaped prisoners.
Resigning
Several months went by and there was some unrest at the prison. Sandayu wanted to start letting prisoners out of the prison to work for him. Judge and Sketch protested the idea as they have the posters and criminal records archived.
Sandayu told them it was Jakkos orders to let prisoners out and work for Hisui.
Jakko (Leonard in disguise) showed them the note about the new program when he became warden, much to their surprise as that went against the prison's policy. Jakko soon left while Sandayu ordered them to destroy the criminal records and tear up the posters including those of Kroko and the Dark Gator Pirates.
They said Jakko wouldn't approve of that, but he reminded them that Jakko takes orders from Sandayu and to destroy all posters and criminal records.
After the deed was done, Sandayu fired them and ordered them to leave the prison immediately by the time Jakko returns or end up perma pampers.
Feeling betrayed, they decided to leave the prison. However Sandayu ordered Sketch to draw posters of thirteen pokemon who he’d like to keep an eye on, much to his confusion. After drawing his last batch of posters, he left with the Judge.
Soon the real Jakko came by asking Sandayu where the duo went, Sandayu told him they quit as they detested the idea. Jakko feeling upset that they left without a reason given he needed them for his new idea plan, but Jakko did feel like Sandayu was hiding something and knows Runo will be upset.
As they left on a ship, they noticed outsiders in black coats around the prison with other staff such as Mars jumping off, some sharpedo swimming with him, and Xatus flying away. They felt like the prison was lost as Sandayu took over, which was probably what the masked fox wanted.
New Careers
After leaving the prison, they had to find new work. Fortune smiled on them when they saw a Pelipper with the Crinklz Gazette. They heard that Vincent always hires those who needed work, so they decided to head to Castelia City hoping to get interviews, it would be big for them to work at one of the most wealthiest businesses in Unova.
After arriving in Castelia, it was overwhelming from there usual setting, they soon made it to the massive building and entered its doors
They entered and saw a dragonite statue at the center fountain, Sketch admired the work while Judge saw it was a real dragonite, he tried to read its mind, but didn't give him anything so he ignored it. They asked the front desk to speak with Vincent, but found out he is not there at the moment, but will return shortly, so they got the Vice President to come and talk to them for now and give them applications to fill out.
They saw a Machoke whose head of security was wearing a Mew as a diaper. The mew returned to its original form introducing himself as Andy, the vice president of Crinklz and close friend to Vincent, much to Sketch’s surprise that a mew is a diaper.
Andy went over their applications, but was skeptical given they used to work at a prison and Judge doesn’t even remember his original name, but he did see they were dedicated and serious about new work.
Vincent soon came by with an upcoming model for the magazine, he told Andy to get the studio ready while he finishes up.
He saw how well Judge was with filing and his mind reading could really aid the company, and he saw Sketch’s drawings and really admired them, so he hired them on the spot and told them they can start tomorrow. Sketch would be in charge of the magazine's designs and being a fashion designer. Sketches tail wagged eagerly, he also told him to often go to Crown to visit the ragtag house. He told them they partnered with a blue pony there who does diaper designs they purchase, combine that with Sketch’s fashion drawings and they could really stand out.
He also told Sketch their pay is way better than Wigglytuff Guild, making Sketch’s eye light up. Judge would be at the front desk as his personal receptionist and to keep an eye out for shady people trying to steal his business along with talking to models for interviews.
Sketch and Judge were very delighted to work in their new positions and looked forward to it. Sketch did feel a little bad about leaving Jakko as they were good friends and decided they should keep in touch at least. Regardless, they settled into a new apartment as they have a big day tomorrow, and of course buy fancy suits
