Chapter 1 - Atlantis, The Lost Continent

5 YEARS AFTER THE GREAT PIRATE ERA BEGINS…
On June 25, 1505, three seagulls flew through white clouds then swooped down over the ocean. Below, the pod of killer whales migrates while they need some air, and blows their air out of their blowholes and breathing before diving.
The three killer whales stop and a seagull flies beside them on the surface.
♫One Piece: Stampede - Collapse of the Crisis♫
Out of nowhere and without a warning… A giant sea reptile-looking monster grabs the male killer whale with a jaw, and disappears after a leap from the surface.
Panicked, the seagulls flew off while the orcas swam off, as the giant sea monster rose above the surface, and swallowed the whole killer whale before letting its thunderous roar.
Some far away from the sea monster, a man named Draco, 24 years old, looked through his telescope, then gave a shout to the others. “Sea monster! The sea monster’s up from the depths! Prepare for combat! Fire the cannons!”
The soldiers were preparing sixty-five cannons, light ‘em up, and fired the cannonballs at the monster’s torso, head and arms, which enraged the beast and started to swim towards the harbor.
“It’s heading towards the harbor!” The first soldier shouted. “Watch out!”
“Slow it down! Fire all your weapons while reloading your cannons! Keep shooting the monster until the cavalry arrives, and then we'll have some fun to watch.” Draco shouted.
The other soldiers fired at the giant sea monster with their rifles and hit it in the head. But the bullets bounced off and fell into the ocean, and then soon onto the sand of the beach once the monster reached the shore.
While the soldiers flee in fear, the massive sea lizard destroys the cannons by stomping on them and flinging them with its tail. The soldiers narrowly avoid being crushed by the falling cannons.

As the sea lizard monster is heading to the village, suddenly a group of large aquatic mammals, the Sea Beasts, emerges from the ocean and stares at the giant creature.
They were tamed by one of two humanoid races that inhabit the seas, the Fish-Men.
“Sea Beasts! Take it down!” The tiger shark fish-man shouted.
The Sea Beasts, like Sea Lion, Sea Bear, Sea Elephant, Sea Rhino, Sea Bull and a Sea Crocodile charges towards the sea lizard monster who roared at them, and grabs them with its arms.
The Sea Elephant grabs the giant lizard’s tail with its trunk and tosses it away to the ocean.
As a giant sea lizard emerged from the water, roared at the Sea Beasts heading towards the water. When they got closer, the huge sea reptile swung its tail and whipped them, sending them into the water.
After that happens, the other Fish-men leaps from the ocean and throws water with the force of bullets, Yabusame, and hits the giant sea lizard’s neck which infuriates the monster and chases after the other fish-men.
While the monster is chasing after the fish-men underwater, it’s confronted by a large, handsome elderly crocodile shark merman, 3 meters in height, with fair skin and a massive, well-muscled physique. He has a wild mass of dark magenta hair and holds a gold-colored magical trident.
His name is King Ryujin, 25 years old.
“This is the sacred place of Atlanteans you’ve attacked.” King Ryujin said his trident glows with lightning. “You’ve left me no choice but to exterminate you.”
He sends out a blast of energy from the trident, which electrocuted the monster, and sends it flying to the air, then falls down to the ocean, and then it floats, dead.
The humans on the harbor, fish-men, and the mermen and mermaids behind Ryujin cheer after the monster’s defeat. Luckily a killer whale, who was supposed to be eaten by a sea monster, came out of the giant reptile’s mouth, and he's intact.
The male orca swam towards Ryujin who rubs his head, and then swam off while the king of mermen smiled, then said. “Swim free, marine mammals. You’re safe with your friends.”

From up here, you can see the bird’s view of the island with an old, but huge town with lakes, and there’s a huge castle. And the island’s size is the same as Dressrosa, an island and kingdom in the New World, and one of the twenty kingdoms that founded the World Government.
This island is called “Atlantis”.
“This is a kingdom of Atlantis, an island where the native race that inhabit this island. There are three different “Atlanteans” species who lived in peace and harmony; humans, fish-men and merpeople.” The narrator said.
“Even after the execution of Gol D. Roger, a legendary pirate, as captain of the Roger Pirates, who held the title of Pirate King and owned the legendary treasure known as One Piece, the peace between three species in Atlantis is not affected. They were already aware that the Great Pirate Era had begun five years ago.” The narrator continues.
“King Ryujin is the king of the ocean, while Dagon is the king of the land, and the two kings formed a partnership, alliance and a strong bond of three species. Even though they are different species, there are no rules about racism. There’s only one rule: their worlds become one, and live together, not just friends… They are family…” The narrator said as they celebrated their feast after taking down a giant sea reptile which is 65 meters tall.
♫The Little Mermaid (1989) - Fathoms Below (Starts at 0:25)♫
There is lots of meat, and it’s enough for the people to eat lots of meat. Even though there are lots of sea monster meat in the food storage.
That night was a heck of a party in King Draco’s Atlantis Palace; people were dancing while playing the music, eating their food, kids were playing and laughing together.
Mermen and Fish-men:
♫I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue
And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho
Look out, men, a sea monster be waiting for you
In mysterious fathoms below♫
While they were singing about the fathoms below, King Draco and King Ryujin sat on their throne chairs and laughed.
“What a feast, eh, Draco?” Ryujin asked.
“Yeah. Thanks to your merpeople and Fish-men, we’ve got plenty of food and our island is safe thanks to your trident.” Draco said.
“Indeed. We owe you our lives every day.” Ryujin said.
“Yeah, so do we humans owe you merpeople and fish-men our lives as well.” Draco said as he looked at his people. “Atlantis… is the reason that we lived together as one instead of against each other. Those Fish-men and your people are far different from the ones from Fishman Island.”
“Yes, they’re having a rough time because they don’t trust humans because we are different. We are Atlanteans, and we have no restrictions and no rules about racism. Those rules are nothing but curses.” Ryujin said.
“Agreed. but I am glad that they are forgotten.” Draco said, then sighed.
“Man, it’s been 8 years since you banished the titans of the sea which caused mayhem and destruction wherever they went. They are rivals to the Sea Kings, and they were originally the rulers of Earth.” He said.
“Indeed. Good thing that my father gives me the trident after he sacrifices his life to save our lives. And then I’ll use all the power from my father’s trident to unleash the power that would imprison them beneath the seas of Tartarus where they would remain for a long time.” Ryujin said.
“And then… I’ll swear that I will protect Atlantis, and any kind of humans, Fish-men and my merfolk.” Ryujin said. “And I’ll protect you, my old friend, Draco.”
“Thanks, Ryujin.” Draco said as he nodded with his gratitude.
Then Ryujin’s Royal Guard approached and shouted. “King Ryujin, sir! Queen Athena has some special news for you. She wants you to meet her in the ocean alone.”
Ryujin nodded, and turned his head to Draco. “I'll be back in a while.”
“Sure, take your time. After all, Athena is your wife.” Draco said, as Ryujin is using his device that looks like coral, but has the ability to produce bubbles with similar strength to those produced by the Yarukiman Mangrove.
His device is Bubbly Coral, and forming a bubble around his waist, and glides off to the beach. And then diving underwater to find her wife.

And there she is, Queen Athena, the beautiful dark-blue haired mermaid queen and a wife of King Ryujin, and she’s 25 years old. She sat on the soft coral like it was a chair, and she gently rubs her slim belly.
“Athena, my queen. I’ve received your message. Are you feeling in your party mood?” Ryujin asked as Athena giggled.
“No, my love. There’s something special… inside me.” Athena replied as she kept rubbing her belly.
Ryujin reaches his hand slowly to his queen’s slim belly, and touches it. Then he can feel a new life inside her belly.
Then he smiled widely as he realized that… Athena’s having a baby. She’s pregnant.
“Athena… We’re… We’re having a baby? Our baby?” Ryujin stammered, while laughing happily.
“Yes, Ryu. We’re having a baby girl.” Athena confirmed.
“This is wonderful!” Ryujin said, then he wrapped his arms around her neck and kissed her lips, then he cheered, “Come on! Let’s tell everyone some good news!”
After a while, back in the Atlantis Palace, everyone is surprised to hear about King Ryujin’s unborn baby.
“A baby?!” the townsfolk asked, surprised.
“You mean, the queen’s having a baby?” A mako shark mermaid asked.
“Yes, and it's a baby girl. We’re gonna have… a baby princess.” King Ryujin announced as the townsfolk cheered.
Even King Draco is happy to hear that Ryujin has become a dad.
“Congratulations, old friend.” Draco said as he shook his hand with his own hand.
“Hooray!” A merman cheered.
“We’re gonna have a mermaid princess!” Another merman cheered.
“This is marvelous!” A fish-man cheered.
“Long live King Ryujin!” A human cheered.
“Uhm, excuse me, King Ryujin.” A fish-man kid asked as the townsfolk looked at him. “What shall we call her name?”
Then they looked curiously at King Ryujin and Queen Athena.
“Glad that you asked, kid. I think we should call her… Marina.” Ryujin said.
“Actually, I’ve got a better name…” Athena said, while smiling and closing her eyes, then announced her baby’s name, “Aqua.”
“Aqua?” Ryujin, Draco and the townsfolk asked.
“Yes… Her name is a Latin word for “water”, and it also represents youth and vitality. So, that’s why I named her… Aqua.”
“Aqua…” Ryujin said as he smiled at his wife. “I love the name.”
Suddenly, behind the townsfolk, a shrill scream fills the air, causing quite a commotion.
♫One Piece OST New World - The Genius Tactician Komei♫
It’s from the fortune-teller, Madame Aurora, 28 years old coho salmon mermaid, the owner of the Mermaid Café.
“It’s Madam Aurora, the owner of the Mermaid Café!” The second human said.
“What’s wrong, Madam?” The other mermaid asked.
“Is everything all right?” Clownfish merman asked.
Aurora held her head and panted as if she was in pain.
“This…this is just terrible!” Aurora cried. “It’s horrible!!”
“What’s wrong?” Fishman asked.
“We must leave!” Aurora cried. “We must leave before everyone dies! To the ships, now!”
Concerned, Draco and Ryujin approached Aurora and calmed them down.
“Calm down, Aurora! Why must we leave the island?” Ryujin asked.
“Madam… you didn’t see the future, again, did you?” Draco asked.
“I…I didn’t want to look into the crystal ball,” Aurora began as she shuddered, “but…I sensed something calamitous inside the island, and then…I saw the future! UGH!!”
“Madam Aurora?” Draco asked. “Please, relax and tell us.”
“What happened? “What did you see?” Ryujin asked.
“I wish this prophecy would not come true,” Aurora said. “The earth’s crust below the island is changing… It’s shifting, that will cause a powerful earthquake to strike the island, and it begins to sink into the ocean!”
The townsfolk gasped and clamoring worriedly while talking to each other.
“You mean… Atlantis will sink?” The human child asked.
“Did you really see it in your vision, Madam?” Athena asked. “Will our island really sink to the bottom of the ocean?”
“Yes, my queen.” Aurora replied, “I did indeed see it. There’s no doubt in my mind.”
Again, the townsfolk clamoring worriedly about what their island; their home, is going to sink to the ocean.
“What are we going to do? We’re all going to die!” The male villager yelled hopelessly.
“No! We must start to evacuate! To the harbor! We must sail with all the ships we have!” King Draco said.
“But, Your Majesty! Atlantis is our home; we can’t leave here!” The third fish-man said.
“Even so, we must save all lives on this island! That's all we have left!” King Ryujin said.
“Everybody, to the harbor! Hurry before the earthquake strikes! There’s not much time to stay” Queen Athena shouted as the townsfolk started to run off to the harbor.
♫One Piece OST GEAR5 - Luffy's Death♫
Throughout the island of Atlantis everyone is getting ready to evacuate the island on Queen Athena’s command.
No one had any idea what was going on, but they knew for certain that the powerful earthquake was going to make the whole island sink…that was it. The island would be doomed.
In the harbor, the people already went aboard lots of ships and packed up their things; furniture, pets, food supplies and weapons.
There are over 65 ships, which is enough to transport all Atlantean humans to the ocean.
Fish-men and merpeople are already left to the oceans since they are capable of swimming and breathing underwater, which humans cannot do.
On the harbor’s wood dock, King Draco looked gloomily at his island… and after a while, he turned at King Ryujin’s floats on the water.
“Ryujin… My heart aches at the thought of leaving this island. It's our only home.” Draco said.
“I know. It's hard for me to leave as well. But we mustn't lose any lives. Our lives. This is the only way to survive through the catastrophe.” Ryujin said.
“Still… This feels so wrong. In the event that our island sinks, Madam Aurora's prediction may be accurate. I don’t want to leave you, Ryujin.” Draco said.
“Me neither.” Ryujin said as Draco’s royal guard arrived.
“Your Majesty. Your ship’s waiting.” Draco’s Royal Guard said as he saluted.
“Okay. Let’s get onboard.” Draco nodded, as suddenly, the earthquake strikes the island, and it triggers the volcano.
“It started…” Ryujin whispered in horror.
♫One Piece Film Z - The World Heads Towards Destruction♫
At the mouth of the volcano… KROOSH!! KABOOOM!! A huge eruption started, sending huge flaming rocks and lava down toward the city.
A cloud of ashes began to form in the midnight sky.
KRASH!! KABLAM!! BOOM!! Fiery rocks began to fall towards the city, crashing into buildings and into the streets. Some of them even fell into the sea.
Luckily for the ships, they were protected by the Fish-men and Merpeople who used their Fish-Man Jujutsu techniques to hit the fiery rocks and destroy them.
But it’s getting worse than a volcano and earthquake; the tsunami, which is created by an earthquake underwater, slowly approaches the ship.
“Tsunami a-coming!” Sailor shouted. “Tsunami a-coming!”
Ryujin saw the tsunami coming towards the island, so he charged his trident glow golden and shouted. “Everyone, hit the deck!”
He blasts the tsunami with the energy blast, and it explodes into pieces. Ryujin takes a sigh of relief before turning around to the island which is slowly sinking while the volcano keeps erupting.
As all the ships keep sailing in the distance, the whole Atlantis island is completely wiped out of the map after it sinks underwater to the bottom of the ocean.
♫Mufasa: The Lion King - The King Within♫
Everything is vaporized, but thankfully all lives were not lost. But all Atlanteans; humans, fish-men and merfolk, from kids to adults, were mourning, some of them crying, for losing their home and everything they own.
Atlantis… is now the sunken continent…
“It’s gone… Atlantis has sunken…” Athena said sadly.
Ryujin sighed as he closed his eyes. “Oh, if our daughter sees this… And now we’ve lost our home… We’ve lost everything…”
“Everything’s not lost.” Aurora’s voice surprised Ryujin and everyone, and looked at her.
“I’ve sensed a miracle. The Atlantis palace is not destroyed… It’s still undamaged. But it’s still at the bottom of the sea.” She said, “However, most of the houses, statues, and even Mermaid Café are ruined.”
All Atlanteans moaned sadly, while Ryujin looked neutral expression at the fortune-teller, and asked. “Do you think that… only us, the merpeople and fish-men lives in there, even it’s underwater?`”
“Yes… I am afraid the humans, either Devil Fruit users and non-users, can’t breathe underwater much longer. They have to move further to another island or a country.” Aurora replied.
“She’s right, we’ve got to move on! What if the pirates find us, and kill all of us?” The sailor asked worriedly.
“King Draco? Do you think…” Ryujin started to ask, but Draco interrupted.
“My friend. I’m afraid they're right, you know. Our home above the surface is just a place of stone and wood. But underwater, your home is different from ours. And we can’t stay here much longer. The pirates are ruthless and dangerous sea bandits who want to kill for sport, steal food and treasure.” Draco said as he stood on a small boat after he climbed down the rope ladder.
“You’re right, my human friend. I know it’s hard for us, but it’s suicide to stay here. All of you humans on the ships are vulnerable, and are an easy target for either pirates or any sea monsters.” Ryujin said.
♫Pokémon The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Sky of Hope♫
“Well…” Draco started as he extended his hand towards Ryujin. “I guess this is goodbye…”
“Yes… But not forever…” Ryujin said as he reached his hand to Draco’s and shook gently. “Even though we’re apart, our friendship will always be forever.”
“Forever…” Draco repeated while smiling and shed his tears. “Friends forever…”
Ryujin nodded as he shed his tears too, then he let go of Draco’s hand, and turned to his merfolk and fish-men.
“My friends, let’s dive.” Ryujin commanded as the merpeople and fish-men nodded and diving underwater before turning his head at Draco and said, “Good luck… King Draco.”
“Hail King Ryujin.” Draco said as he nodded at the merman king who smiled at his human friend and diving underwater along with Athena.
And then Draco climbed up back to his large ship and announced. “Listen up, my friends! Let’s set sail across the sea of the New World! I don’t know how long it will take, but we will either find another island or a country to build a new home!”
“Even though we're apart from our friends from underwater, our Atlantean bond will never be forgotten! One way or another, we will see King Ryujin and his people again!” Draco finished his speech as his people cheered.
“Set sail, men! Our voyage begins today!” Draco shouted as the ships started to sail forward.
No matter how long they will search, they will find another island or a country to build a new home for King Draco’s clan.

Meanwhile, above the sunken island, Atlantis, King Ryujin and his people witness the ruins of their houses, and other buildings, except the palace.
“Madam Aurora’s right… Despite the palace, the rest of the houses are ruined…” Athena said.
“Yes… Even though this island has crumbled to the bottom of the ocean, that doesn’t mean our home has been lost… We shall rebuild it again.” Ryujin said.
“Your Majesty?” The dolphin merman asked.
“What shall we do?” The goldfish mermaid asked.
After taking a deep sigh, King Ryujin knew that it’s time to rebuild the island as their own undersea kingdom for merpeople and fish-men. So he turned around and swam backwards a little, and started to speak.
“My people… Mermen… Mermaids… And fish-men… Atlantis, the sunken continent may have sunk to the bottom of the ocean, and our human friends have lost their home. The earthquake has a strong impact on our lives and changes the history of this island, but there’s still hope!” Ryujin continued.
Everyone seemed to gasp silently at this.
“I know that some…if not most of you may have had a change of heart because of this tragedy… but fear not! Together, we can rebuild Atlantis, and we can make our underwater kingdom! For all of my fellow mermen and fish-men, who are the Atlanteans! And it carries the legacy of the Atlantean humans who lived on the island for over a century!” Ryujin continued as his eyes began to well up with tears at this point.
“Even though we're apart from our human friends, our Atlantean bond will never be forgotten! One way or another, we will see King Draco and his people again! One day… when the wounds on your hearts and our civilization have healed… WE WILL MAKE ATLANTIS GREAT AGAIN!!!” King Ryujin finished.
Soon, the crowd burst into tears… their hope for living in Atlantis, and seeing their human comrades returning once again.
♫Mufasa: The Lion King - Home♫
Nine months later…
March 20th, 1506
It’s been 9 months later… And everything in Atlantis has been rebuilt, and damages are fixed after the earthquake strikes the earth’s crust beneath the surface.
And since the Kingdom of Atlantis is underwater, the only way for a conventional ship to get there is to be coated with a special resin found in the Sabaody Archipelago. All ships entering the island must undergo a customs inspection.
Behind the island, there are colossal trees that absorb sunlight and transfer it to its roots, which also supply air to the ocean floor through respiration, the Sunlight Tree Eve.
Just as a real-time clock, the light turned midnight when they absorbed the moonshine.
In the city, there are some shops, restaurants, a weapon factory, a training dojo for Merman Combat and Fish-Man Karate, library, museum, and hotels.
Right now, there are no natural disasters, pirates, or giant sea monster attacks. Not even the mightiest titans were not breaking out from their prison thanks to Ryujin’s magical trident’s power after they were banished a long time ago.
Speaking of Ryujin, he sat on his throne in the throne room while his advisor, Raki, the rockhopper penguin, bows to the merman king.
“I see that the city's reconstruction is finally complete, Raki.” Ryujin said as he smiled and nodded at him.
“Oh, Your Majesty, after all of your people’s efforts, Atlantis is now back as it used to be. And there are lots of places to go!” Raki said as he picked up the paper and read the list of locations.
“Like shop stores, restaurants, a weapon factory, a training dojo for Merman Combat and Fish-Man Karate, a library, a museum, and hotels. And even the houses where the people lived.” Raki finished, then sighed in exhaustion.
“Ah, 9 months of work, and the Kingdom of Atlantis is now restored. I always wish King Draco shall see this.” Ryujin sighed.
“Yes, same here. Especially your little princess.” Raki asked.
“Indeed… Aqua was born a week ago. Oh, I just want to see her pretty face again.” Ryujin said as he rose from his chair and swam off to find his wife while Raki followed him while flapping his wings to swim beside him.
As long as Raki wears a magical necklace that holds the power that he can breathe underwater in unlimited time.
On the balcony, Athena looked gracefully at the city while smiling. In her arms, she’s carrying a baby mermaid with strong blue hair, stripy tail. This infant is Aqua.
“Aqua… My precious little daughter… Our city, our kingdom, our island… our home is finally restored.” Athena sighed contentedly.
Then she felt her husband’s majestic presence, turned around to see Ryujin and Raki, and smiled at him while the sea king smiled at her back.
“You’re right, Athena. Atlantis is restored thanks to our people’s efforts.” Ryujin said.
“Indeed, my love. Draco’s going to be happy when he’s going to see this.” Athena said as she kept holding her baby in her arms.
“Same here..: But even when we're departed, Draco’s always in our hearts. After all, our hearts are connected.” Ryujin said as he looked at Aqua who held his hand with her tiny hand.
“Aw, look at her. She’s so beautiful, just like you, Queen Athena.” Raki coos.
♫The Lion King - Legacy Collection - CD1 - We Are All Connected♫
“Thank you, Raki. And yes, she sure is. Her lineage means she will inherit the title of the Mermaid Princess of Atlantis, and bring happiness and miracles after her birth.” Athena said as baby Aqua coos and then yawns silently.
Athena gently passes baby Aqua to Ryujin who gently carries her in his muscular arms.
“My angelfish… My little Aqua…” Ryujin sighed happily before watching the city with his people who happily lives in their new home.
Meanwhile, at the Mermaid Café, a restaurant owned by Madam Aurora, who is also a mother of her two baby mermaids, only three years older than Aqua.
Aurora’s looking at her crystal ball, and watches peacefully at Ryujin who’s carrying her newborn daughter and kisses her forehead.
“Mmm… Ryujin… Upon growing up, your daughter will become the beautiful Mermaid Princess of your kingdom. However she’s not alone… In my vision, she will meet her soulmate in the future… The Mermaid Princess of Fishman Island…” Aurora said as she saw a beautiful silhouette of another mermaid princess.
And then she turned her head at her daughter's painting of Aqua on the wall, and sighed happily that the future was going to be a beautiful one.

Here it is, my first chapter of Aqua Mermaid Princess of Atlantis.
This will tell the origins of how the kingdom of Atlantis sinks to the bottom of the ocean, and soon rebuilt into the undersea kingdom for merpeople and fish-men, and the birth of Princess Aqua.
You see, there are three Atlanteans species who lived in peace and harmony; humans, Fish-Men and merpeople.
King Ryujin is the king of the ocean, while Dagon is the king of the land, and the two kings formed a partnership, alliance and a strong bond of three species. Even though they are different species, there are no rules about racism. There’s only one rule: their worlds become one, and live together, not just friends… They are family…

You see, I'll use some of Disney references since it makes the overall work much more traditional and heartfelt. And of course One Piece since this story is related to Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime series.

5 YEARS AFTER THE GREAT PIRATE ERA BEGINS…
On June 25, 1505, three seagulls flew through white clouds then swooped down over the ocean. Below, the pod of killer whales migrates while they need some air, and blows their air out of their blowholes and breathing before diving.
The three killer whales stop and a seagull flies beside them on the surface.
♫One Piece: Stampede - Collapse of the Crisis♫
Out of nowhere and without a warning… A giant sea reptile-looking monster grabs the male killer whale with a jaw, and disappears after a leap from the surface.
Panicked, the seagulls flew off while the orcas swam off, as the giant sea monster rose above the surface, and swallowed the whole killer whale before letting its thunderous roar.
Some far away from the sea monster, a man named Draco, 24 years old, looked through his telescope, then gave a shout to the others. “Sea monster! The sea monster’s up from the depths! Prepare for combat! Fire the cannons!”
The soldiers were preparing sixty-five cannons, light ‘em up, and fired the cannonballs at the monster’s torso, head and arms, which enraged the beast and started to swim towards the harbor.
“It’s heading towards the harbor!” The first soldier shouted. “Watch out!”
“Slow it down! Fire all your weapons while reloading your cannons! Keep shooting the monster until the cavalry arrives, and then we'll have some fun to watch.” Draco shouted.
The other soldiers fired at the giant sea monster with their rifles and hit it in the head. But the bullets bounced off and fell into the ocean, and then soon onto the sand of the beach once the monster reached the shore.
While the soldiers flee in fear, the massive sea lizard destroys the cannons by stomping on them and flinging them with its tail. The soldiers narrowly avoid being crushed by the falling cannons.

As the sea lizard monster is heading to the village, suddenly a group of large aquatic mammals, the Sea Beasts, emerges from the ocean and stares at the giant creature.
They were tamed by one of two humanoid races that inhabit the seas, the Fish-Men.
“Sea Beasts! Take it down!” The tiger shark fish-man shouted.
The Sea Beasts, like Sea Lion, Sea Bear, Sea Elephant, Sea Rhino, Sea Bull and a Sea Crocodile charges towards the sea lizard monster who roared at them, and grabs them with its arms.
The Sea Elephant grabs the giant lizard’s tail with its trunk and tosses it away to the ocean.
As a giant sea lizard emerged from the water, roared at the Sea Beasts heading towards the water. When they got closer, the huge sea reptile swung its tail and whipped them, sending them into the water.
After that happens, the other Fish-men leaps from the ocean and throws water with the force of bullets, Yabusame, and hits the giant sea lizard’s neck which infuriates the monster and chases after the other fish-men.
While the monster is chasing after the fish-men underwater, it’s confronted by a large, handsome elderly crocodile shark merman, 3 meters in height, with fair skin and a massive, well-muscled physique. He has a wild mass of dark magenta hair and holds a gold-colored magical trident.
His name is King Ryujin, 25 years old.
“This is the sacred place of Atlanteans you’ve attacked.” King Ryujin said his trident glows with lightning. “You’ve left me no choice but to exterminate you.”
He sends out a blast of energy from the trident, which electrocuted the monster, and sends it flying to the air, then falls down to the ocean, and then it floats, dead.
The humans on the harbor, fish-men, and the mermen and mermaids behind Ryujin cheer after the monster’s defeat. Luckily a killer whale, who was supposed to be eaten by a sea monster, came out of the giant reptile’s mouth, and he's intact.
The male orca swam towards Ryujin who rubs his head, and then swam off while the king of mermen smiled, then said. “Swim free, marine mammals. You’re safe with your friends.”
♫The Jungle Book (2016) - Wolves♫
From up here, you can see the bird’s view of the island with an old, but huge town with lakes, and there’s a huge castle. And the island’s size is the same as Dressrosa, an island and kingdom in the New World, and one of the twenty kingdoms that founded the World Government.
This island is called “Atlantis”.
“This is a kingdom of Atlantis, an island where the native race that inhabit this island. There are three different “Atlanteans” species who lived in peace and harmony; humans, fish-men and merpeople.” The narrator said.
“Even after the execution of Gol D. Roger, a legendary pirate, as captain of the Roger Pirates, who held the title of Pirate King and owned the legendary treasure known as One Piece, the peace between three species in Atlantis is not affected. They were already aware that the Great Pirate Era had begun five years ago.” The narrator continues.
“King Ryujin is the king of the ocean, while Dagon is the king of the land, and the two kings formed a partnership, alliance and a strong bond of three species. Even though they are different species, there are no rules about racism. There’s only one rule: their worlds become one, and live together, not just friends… They are family…” The narrator said as they celebrated their feast after taking down a giant sea reptile which is 65 meters tall.
♫The Little Mermaid (1989) - Fathoms Below (Starts at 0:25)♫
There is lots of meat, and it’s enough for the people to eat lots of meat. Even though there are lots of sea monster meat in the food storage.
That night was a heck of a party in King Draco’s Atlantis Palace; people were dancing while playing the music, eating their food, kids were playing and laughing together.
Mermen and Fish-men:
♫I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue
And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho
Look out, men, a sea monster be waiting for you
In mysterious fathoms below♫
While they were singing about the fathoms below, King Draco and King Ryujin sat on their throne chairs and laughed.
“What a feast, eh, Draco?” Ryujin asked.
“Yeah. Thanks to your merpeople and Fish-men, we’ve got plenty of food and our island is safe thanks to your trident.” Draco said.
“Indeed. We owe you our lives every day.” Ryujin said.
“Yeah, so do we humans owe you merpeople and fish-men our lives as well.” Draco said as he looked at his people. “Atlantis… is the reason that we lived together as one instead of against each other. Those Fish-men and your people are far different from the ones from Fishman Island.”
“Yes, they’re having a rough time because they don’t trust humans because we are different. We are Atlanteans, and we have no restrictions and no rules about racism. Those rules are nothing but curses.” Ryujin said.
“Agreed. but I am glad that they are forgotten.” Draco said, then sighed.
“Man, it’s been 8 years since you banished the titans of the sea which caused mayhem and destruction wherever they went. They are rivals to the Sea Kings, and they were originally the rulers of Earth.” He said.
“Indeed. Good thing that my father gives me the trident after he sacrifices his life to save our lives. And then I’ll use all the power from my father’s trident to unleash the power that would imprison them beneath the seas of Tartarus where they would remain for a long time.” Ryujin said.
“And then… I’ll swear that I will protect Atlantis, and any kind of humans, Fish-men and my merfolk.” Ryujin said. “And I’ll protect you, my old friend, Draco.”
“Thanks, Ryujin.” Draco said as he nodded with his gratitude.
Then Ryujin’s Royal Guard approached and shouted. “King Ryujin, sir! Queen Athena has some special news for you. She wants you to meet her in the ocean alone.”
Ryujin nodded, and turned his head to Draco. “I'll be back in a while.”
“Sure, take your time. After all, Athena is your wife.” Draco said, as Ryujin is using his device that looks like coral, but has the ability to produce bubbles with similar strength to those produced by the Yarukiman Mangrove.
His device is Bubbly Coral, and forming a bubble around his waist, and glides off to the beach. And then diving underwater to find her wife.

And there she is, Queen Athena, the beautiful dark-blue haired mermaid queen and a wife of King Ryujin, and she’s 25 years old. She sat on the soft coral like it was a chair, and she gently rubs her slim belly.
“Athena, my queen. I’ve received your message. Are you feeling in your party mood?” Ryujin asked as Athena giggled.
“No, my love. There’s something special… inside me.” Athena replied as she kept rubbing her belly.
Ryujin reaches his hand slowly to his queen’s slim belly, and touches it. Then he can feel a new life inside her belly.
Then he smiled widely as he realized that… Athena’s having a baby. She’s pregnant.
“Athena… We’re… We’re having a baby? Our baby?” Ryujin stammered, while laughing happily.
“Yes, Ryu. We’re having a baby girl.” Athena confirmed.
“This is wonderful!” Ryujin said, then he wrapped his arms around her neck and kissed her lips, then he cheered, “Come on! Let’s tell everyone some good news!”
After a while, back in the Atlantis Palace, everyone is surprised to hear about King Ryujin’s unborn baby.
“A baby?!” the townsfolk asked, surprised.
“You mean, the queen’s having a baby?” A mako shark mermaid asked.
“Yes, and it's a baby girl. We’re gonna have… a baby princess.” King Ryujin announced as the townsfolk cheered.
Even King Draco is happy to hear that Ryujin has become a dad.
“Congratulations, old friend.” Draco said as he shook his hand with his own hand.
“Hooray!” A merman cheered.
“We’re gonna have a mermaid princess!” Another merman cheered.
“This is marvelous!” A fish-man cheered.
“Long live King Ryujin!” A human cheered.
“Uhm, excuse me, King Ryujin.” A fish-man kid asked as the townsfolk looked at him. “What shall we call her name?”
Then they looked curiously at King Ryujin and Queen Athena.
“Glad that you asked, kid. I think we should call her… Marina.” Ryujin said.
“Actually, I’ve got a better name…” Athena said, while smiling and closing her eyes, then announced her baby’s name, “Aqua.”
“Aqua?” Ryujin, Draco and the townsfolk asked.
“Yes… Her name is a Latin word for “water”, and it also represents youth and vitality. So, that’s why I named her… Aqua.”
“Aqua…” Ryujin said as he smiled at his wife. “I love the name.”
Suddenly, behind the townsfolk, a shrill scream fills the air, causing quite a commotion.
♫One Piece OST New World - The Genius Tactician Komei♫
It’s from the fortune-teller, Madame Aurora, 28 years old coho salmon mermaid, the owner of the Mermaid Café.
“It’s Madam Aurora, the owner of the Mermaid Café!” The second human said.
“What’s wrong, Madam?” The other mermaid asked.
“Is everything all right?” Clownfish merman asked.
Aurora held her head and panted as if she was in pain.
“This…this is just terrible!” Aurora cried. “It’s horrible!!”
“What’s wrong?” Fishman asked.
“We must leave!” Aurora cried. “We must leave before everyone dies! To the ships, now!”
Concerned, Draco and Ryujin approached Aurora and calmed them down.
“Calm down, Aurora! Why must we leave the island?” Ryujin asked.
“Madam… you didn’t see the future, again, did you?” Draco asked.
“I…I didn’t want to look into the crystal ball,” Aurora began as she shuddered, “but…I sensed something calamitous inside the island, and then…I saw the future! UGH!!”
“Madam Aurora?” Draco asked. “Please, relax and tell us.”
“What happened? “What did you see?” Ryujin asked.
“I wish this prophecy would not come true,” Aurora said. “The earth’s crust below the island is changing… It’s shifting, that will cause a powerful earthquake to strike the island, and it begins to sink into the ocean!”
The townsfolk gasped and clamoring worriedly while talking to each other.
“You mean… Atlantis will sink?” The human child asked.
“Did you really see it in your vision, Madam?” Athena asked. “Will our island really sink to the bottom of the ocean?”
“Yes, my queen.” Aurora replied, “I did indeed see it. There’s no doubt in my mind.”
Again, the townsfolk clamoring worriedly about what their island; their home, is going to sink to the ocean.
“What are we going to do? We’re all going to die!” The male villager yelled hopelessly.
“No! We must start to evacuate! To the harbor! We must sail with all the ships we have!” King Draco said.
“But, Your Majesty! Atlantis is our home; we can’t leave here!” The third fish-man said.
“Even so, we must save all lives on this island! That's all we have left!” King Ryujin said.
“Everybody, to the harbor! Hurry before the earthquake strikes! There’s not much time to stay” Queen Athena shouted as the townsfolk started to run off to the harbor.
♫One Piece OST GEAR5 - Luffy's Death♫
Throughout the island of Atlantis everyone is getting ready to evacuate the island on Queen Athena’s command.
No one had any idea what was going on, but they knew for certain that the powerful earthquake was going to make the whole island sink…that was it. The island would be doomed.
In the harbor, the people already went aboard lots of ships and packed up their things; furniture, pets, food supplies and weapons.
There are over 65 ships, which is enough to transport all Atlantean humans to the ocean.
Fish-men and merpeople are already left to the oceans since they are capable of swimming and breathing underwater, which humans cannot do.
On the harbor’s wood dock, King Draco looked gloomily at his island… and after a while, he turned at King Ryujin’s floats on the water.
“Ryujin… My heart aches at the thought of leaving this island. It's our only home.” Draco said.
“I know. It's hard for me to leave as well. But we mustn't lose any lives. Our lives. This is the only way to survive through the catastrophe.” Ryujin said.
“Still… This feels so wrong. In the event that our island sinks, Madam Aurora's prediction may be accurate. I don’t want to leave you, Ryujin.” Draco said.
“Me neither.” Ryujin said as Draco’s royal guard arrived.
“Your Majesty. Your ship’s waiting.” Draco’s Royal Guard said as he saluted.
“Okay. Let’s get onboard.” Draco nodded, as suddenly, the earthquake strikes the island, and it triggers the volcano.
“It started…” Ryujin whispered in horror.
♫One Piece Film Z - The World Heads Towards Destruction♫
At the mouth of the volcano… KROOSH!! KABOOOM!! A huge eruption started, sending huge flaming rocks and lava down toward the city.
A cloud of ashes began to form in the midnight sky.
KRASH!! KABLAM!! BOOM!! Fiery rocks began to fall towards the city, crashing into buildings and into the streets. Some of them even fell into the sea.
Luckily for the ships, they were protected by the Fish-men and Merpeople who used their Fish-Man Jujutsu techniques to hit the fiery rocks and destroy them.
But it’s getting worse than a volcano and earthquake; the tsunami, which is created by an earthquake underwater, slowly approaches the ship.
“Tsunami a-coming!” Sailor shouted. “Tsunami a-coming!”
Ryujin saw the tsunami coming towards the island, so he charged his trident glow golden and shouted. “Everyone, hit the deck!”
He blasts the tsunami with the energy blast, and it explodes into pieces. Ryujin takes a sigh of relief before turning around to the island which is slowly sinking while the volcano keeps erupting.
As all the ships keep sailing in the distance, the whole Atlantis island is completely wiped out of the map after it sinks underwater to the bottom of the ocean.
♫Mufasa: The Lion King - The King Within♫
Everything is vaporized, but thankfully all lives were not lost. But all Atlanteans; humans, fish-men and merfolk, from kids to adults, were mourning, some of them crying, for losing their home and everything they own.
Atlantis… is now the sunken continent…
“It’s gone… Atlantis has sunken…” Athena said sadly.
Ryujin sighed as he closed his eyes. “Oh, if our daughter sees this… And now we’ve lost our home… We’ve lost everything…”
“Everything’s not lost.” Aurora’s voice surprised Ryujin and everyone, and looked at her.
“I’ve sensed a miracle. The Atlantis palace is not destroyed… It’s still undamaged. But it’s still at the bottom of the sea.” She said, “However, most of the houses, statues, and even Mermaid Café are ruined.”
All Atlanteans moaned sadly, while Ryujin looked neutral expression at the fortune-teller, and asked. “Do you think that… only us, the merpeople and fish-men lives in there, even it’s underwater?`”
“Yes… I am afraid the humans, either Devil Fruit users and non-users, can’t breathe underwater much longer. They have to move further to another island or a country.” Aurora replied.
“She’s right, we’ve got to move on! What if the pirates find us, and kill all of us?” The sailor asked worriedly.
“King Draco? Do you think…” Ryujin started to ask, but Draco interrupted.
“My friend. I’m afraid they're right, you know. Our home above the surface is just a place of stone and wood. But underwater, your home is different from ours. And we can’t stay here much longer. The pirates are ruthless and dangerous sea bandits who want to kill for sport, steal food and treasure.” Draco said as he stood on a small boat after he climbed down the rope ladder.
“You’re right, my human friend. I know it’s hard for us, but it’s suicide to stay here. All of you humans on the ships are vulnerable, and are an easy target for either pirates or any sea monsters.” Ryujin said.
♫Pokémon The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Sky of Hope♫
“Well…” Draco started as he extended his hand towards Ryujin. “I guess this is goodbye…”
“Yes… But not forever…” Ryujin said as he reached his hand to Draco’s and shook gently. “Even though we’re apart, our friendship will always be forever.”
“Forever…” Draco repeated while smiling and shed his tears. “Friends forever…”
Ryujin nodded as he shed his tears too, then he let go of Draco’s hand, and turned to his merfolk and fish-men.
“My friends, let’s dive.” Ryujin commanded as the merpeople and fish-men nodded and diving underwater before turning his head at Draco and said, “Good luck… King Draco.”
“Hail King Ryujin.” Draco said as he nodded at the merman king who smiled at his human friend and diving underwater along with Athena.
And then Draco climbed up back to his large ship and announced. “Listen up, my friends! Let’s set sail across the sea of the New World! I don’t know how long it will take, but we will either find another island or a country to build a new home!”
“Even though we're apart from our friends from underwater, our Atlantean bond will never be forgotten! One way or another, we will see King Ryujin and his people again!” Draco finished his speech as his people cheered.
“Set sail, men! Our voyage begins today!” Draco shouted as the ships started to sail forward.
No matter how long they will search, they will find another island or a country to build a new home for King Draco’s clan.

Meanwhile, above the sunken island, Atlantis, King Ryujin and his people witness the ruins of their houses, and other buildings, except the palace.
“Madam Aurora’s right… Despite the palace, the rest of the houses are ruined…” Athena said.
“Yes… Even though this island has crumbled to the bottom of the ocean, that doesn’t mean our home has been lost… We shall rebuild it again.” Ryujin said.
“Your Majesty?” The dolphin merman asked.
“What shall we do?” The goldfish mermaid asked.
After taking a deep sigh, King Ryujin knew that it’s time to rebuild the island as their own undersea kingdom for merpeople and fish-men. So he turned around and swam backwards a little, and started to speak.
“My people… Mermen… Mermaids… And fish-men… Atlantis, the sunken continent may have sunk to the bottom of the ocean, and our human friends have lost their home. The earthquake has a strong impact on our lives and changes the history of this island, but there’s still hope!” Ryujin continued.
Everyone seemed to gasp silently at this.
“I know that some…if not most of you may have had a change of heart because of this tragedy… but fear not! Together, we can rebuild Atlantis, and we can make our underwater kingdom! For all of my fellow mermen and fish-men, who are the Atlanteans! And it carries the legacy of the Atlantean humans who lived on the island for over a century!” Ryujin continued as his eyes began to well up with tears at this point.
“Even though we're apart from our human friends, our Atlantean bond will never be forgotten! One way or another, we will see King Draco and his people again! One day… when the wounds on your hearts and our civilization have healed… WE WILL MAKE ATLANTIS GREAT AGAIN!!!” King Ryujin finished.
Soon, the crowd burst into tears… their hope for living in Atlantis, and seeing their human comrades returning once again.

Nine months later…
March 20th, 1506
It’s been 9 months later… And everything in Atlantis has been rebuilt, and damages are fixed after the earthquake strikes the earth’s crust beneath the surface.
And since the Kingdom of Atlantis is underwater, the only way for a conventional ship to get there is to be coated with a special resin found in the Sabaody Archipelago. All ships entering the island must undergo a customs inspection.
Behind the island, there are colossal trees that absorb sunlight and transfer it to its roots, which also supply air to the ocean floor through respiration, the Sunlight Tree Eve.
Just as a real-time clock, the light turned midnight when they absorbed the moonshine.
In the city, there are some shops, restaurants, a weapon factory, a training dojo for Merman Combat and Fish-Man Karate, library, museum, and hotels.
Right now, there are no natural disasters, pirates, or giant sea monster attacks. Not even the mightiest titans were not breaking out from their prison thanks to Ryujin’s magical trident’s power after they were banished a long time ago.
Speaking of Ryujin, he sat on his throne in the throne room while his advisor, Raki, the rockhopper penguin, bows to the merman king.
“I see that the city's reconstruction is finally complete, Raki.” Ryujin said as he smiled and nodded at him.
“Oh, Your Majesty, after all of your people’s efforts, Atlantis is now back as it used to be. And there are lots of places to go!” Raki said as he picked up the paper and read the list of locations.
“Like shop stores, restaurants, a weapon factory, a training dojo for Merman Combat and Fish-Man Karate, a library, a museum, and hotels. And even the houses where the people lived.” Raki finished, then sighed in exhaustion.
“Ah, 9 months of work, and the Kingdom of Atlantis is now restored. I always wish King Draco shall see this.” Ryujin sighed.
“Yes, same here. Especially your little princess.” Raki asked.
“Indeed… Aqua was born a week ago. Oh, I just want to see her pretty face again.” Ryujin said as he rose from his chair and swam off to find his wife while Raki followed him while flapping his wings to swim beside him.
As long as Raki wears a magical necklace that holds the power that he can breathe underwater in unlimited time.
On the balcony, Athena looked gracefully at the city while smiling. In her arms, she’s carrying a baby mermaid with strong blue hair, stripy tail. This infant is Aqua.
“Aqua… My precious little daughter… Our city, our kingdom, our island… our home is finally restored.” Athena sighed contentedly.
Then she felt her husband’s majestic presence, turned around to see Ryujin and Raki, and smiled at him while the sea king smiled at her back.
“You’re right, Athena. Atlantis is restored thanks to our people’s efforts.” Ryujin said.
“Indeed, my love. Draco’s going to be happy when he’s going to see this.” Athena said as she kept holding her baby in her arms.
“Same here..: But even when we're departed, Draco’s always in our hearts. After all, our hearts are connected.” Ryujin said as he looked at Aqua who held his hand with her tiny hand.
“Aw, look at her. She’s so beautiful, just like you, Queen Athena.” Raki coos.

“Thank you, Raki. And yes, she sure is. Her lineage means she will inherit the title of the Mermaid Princess of Atlantis, and bring happiness and miracles after her birth.” Athena said as baby Aqua coos and then yawns silently.
Athena gently passes baby Aqua to Ryujin who gently carries her in his muscular arms.
“My angelfish… My little Aqua…” Ryujin sighed happily before watching the city with his people who happily lives in their new home.
Meanwhile, at the Mermaid Café, a restaurant owned by Madam Aurora, who is also a mother of her two baby mermaids, only three years older than Aqua.
Aurora’s looking at her crystal ball, and watches peacefully at Ryujin who’s carrying her newborn daughter and kisses her forehead.
“Mmm… Ryujin… Upon growing up, your daughter will become the beautiful Mermaid Princess of your kingdom. However she’s not alone… In my vision, she will meet her soulmate in the future… The Mermaid Princess of Fishman Island…” Aurora said as she saw a beautiful silhouette of another mermaid princess.
And then she turned her head at her daughter's painting of Aqua on the wall, and sighed happily that the future was going to be a beautiful one.

Here it is, my first chapter of Aqua Mermaid Princess of Atlantis.
This will tell the origins of how the kingdom of Atlantis sinks to the bottom of the ocean, and soon rebuilt into the undersea kingdom for merpeople and fish-men, and the birth of Princess Aqua.
You see, there are three Atlanteans species who lived in peace and harmony; humans, Fish-Men and merpeople.

You see, I'll use some of Disney references since it makes the overall work much more traditional and heartfelt. And of course One Piece since this story is related to Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime series.
