I am SO fucking excited to finally have a reference sheet for this brainchild of mine.

PLEASE go watch them to show them how much I appreciate them for bringing this to life. Once I saw their gallery I knew they would be the best fit for the task.
I sincerely hope I can work with them again in the future to possibly show more details about this creature if there is enough interest!

Vowen is part of the story I wrote a while ago linked here and is the same creature in this previous submission.
I REALLY REALLY hope people appreciate this creature. I know someone like MyEmetophobia surely would.

Additional details:
-It is a very intelligent specimen capable of learning everything about a living being once it makes contact with a number of its cells.
-It can restructure, manipulate and command any cells in its grasp. If it cannot do so it will spread (usually through internal pathways ie veins) until it can. This process is normally achieved slowly to better understand the cell structure and to use less energy.
-It does not hurt it's host and aims to provide it with the most optimal living conditions thereby extending it's life span and by proxy; it's own.
-Vowen cannot reproduce or create offspring. There are chosen larger breeds that lay larva on it's home planet. It's nature is to preserve it's own life no matter the cost and will manipulate if necessary to achieve this goal.
-Appearance and movement resembles that of an octopus, ie very slow when moving in anything other than a liquid.
-Although possible, Vowen does not have any interest in controlling it's hosts general behavior or movement. In the ideal circumstances it is simply observing and only expending it's energy to keep itself and it's host alive.
-This species tends to live a simple life as it's planet provides all the necessary heat needed to survive and their deceased are repurposed as food. This process repeats endlessly.
-Intelligence and curiosity means it will prefer companionship. It's species normally lives in pods where they entwine as a large group, sharing resources and mental conversation.
-Vowen will protect it's central structure (the void --below the 3rd ring of it's body) with it's life. If it is in any way breached it will liquify, creating a chemical reaction in the tenths of thousands of degrees. If acid had an angry cousin, this would be it.
-Removal of this creature (once grown past a certain point) is not possible by traditional means and would require surgery or death. Vowen would never leave a suitable host even if threatened.

More information on the rings:
1st- Thousands of feelers/tentacles that detect using olfactory receptors as well as detecting bouncing light photons. With aid from the second ring it can sense everything passing through with atomic precision.
2nd- Hundreds of illuminating spheres with an appearance similar to eyes. These spheres are drenched in ooze that keeps them clean of debris, assisted by the eyelids to prevent buildup.
