I think it is undeniable that Riz is one handsome big bear ... but his backstory troubles me a bit... altough if I remember correctly near the end of the manga he was shown to start to understand what he did...

Don't really know much about Beastars myself but I've seen everyone really like Riz ^^;

I have watched the anime and I am about to finish the manga and they were both very good, altough I have the feeling some things were kinda rushed (for example, we learn that Beastars are basically the champion of champions in Legoshi’s world but we actually see very little of them).

Riz, despite appearing as a friendly and kind person on the outside, is a really dark characther; he can partially be forgiven, at least in the beggining, because he basically made a mistake which lead to him losing controll over his instincts and then, because of his inability to accept the guilt, he refused to accept his own memories, eventually seeing things in a wrong and twisted way which lead him on an ever darker path…

However, near the end of the manga, we are given a little hope that he may accept that what he did was wrong and change into a better person.
