The Legend of Spyro Trilogy. Probably my most favorited story.
In case if someone doesn't know: As an egg Cynder was stolen by Dark Forces and were corrupted and forced to fight against other dragons. She didn't had any childhood or choise from very begining, only suffering. It was a hard journey, but Spyro managed to save her.
