Ugh, I can't believe I'm doing this. Hi everyone, I will react to a trailer for the DreamWorks movie Dog Man. Now I've got to be honest with you, I'm not 100% hyped on this one like I did with the Bad Guys that inspired me to do reactions to trailers. I never read any of the Dog Man books just like I would have with the Bad Guys, but I do know that it's a DreamWorks movie and that the book series was done by the same author that did the Captain Underpants comics, I mean sure the Captain Underpants movie was something. However, that is not to say that I would be impressed with Dog Man, but you'll see what I mean when I react to the trailer itself, so with that being said let's get on to the reaction right now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xfYr03dvaU
0:06-0:22 So the trailer starts with a town and that there's a bomb about to go off at any second, then we see a police officer and his pet dog driving in action to diffuse a bomb.
0:22-0:29 Now we get the guy thinking that the dog wanted him to cut the green wire while the dog's muzzle presses the blue wire, however, he just cut the green wire while asking if dogs are colored blind. I mean true dogs are colored blind, but the dog wasn't pointing its muzzle at the green wire.
0:29-0:51 Okay here's the reason why I wasn't hyped for this trailer, because they just attached the dog's head onto a man's body to create Dog Man. The reason why I brought this up was because I remembered watching a Facebook or a YouTube video about a person using the ears, muzzle, and eyes of a German Shepherd and attaching them to his face which I found disturbing and unsettling. Yes, I know it was all fake and that it was only a fake rubber face, but still, I don't like the idea of attaching animal parts to a human's body like that.
0:51-1:18 Now I'm impressed with this being a cartoon and that a half-human and half-dog is doing the right thing, but I still wondered what the cat's origin was like, because I doubt that they did surgery of putting organs and bones of a human inside of a body of a cat to create an evil cat character like that. I mostly like to think of a mad scientist and the whole experiment gone wrong thing instead.
1:18-1:39 Okay that moment where the chief throws the newspaper away and then Dog Man retrieves it back to him even though he wasn't playing a game of fetch with him, but hay that's what happens when a dog's brain controls a human's body like that. I just hope they don't include anything involving Dog Man trying to take a number two at the park but ends up pooping his pants instead because that might be a bit too far.
1:39-1:58 Okay so there were a lot of montages where Dog Man is trying to stop that evil cat from destroying the town and things don't go as planned, I wonder if they did something similar to the Captain Underpants books series and the Bad Guys books series by combining most of the books to make a full-length feature film.
1:58-2:31 Now the whole looking at the monitor screen thing while the chief tells him that if there are things a dog would enjoy or chase after that he needs to pay attention looking at the monitor was funny, as well as licking the chief even when his mouth is opened was funny. But again that's what happens when a dog's head is controlling a human's body.
Well, that's my reaction to the Dog Man movie trailer, now after watching those two nurses suggesting putting the head of a dog onto a human's body things were still unsettling. I mean I rather the whole Anthropomorphic thing would have been done as an evolution just like how humans evolved from monkeys, but turning a normal animal and a human into an anthropomorphic being by sugary is just too far. Let's just hope people in the real world don't get any ideas from this besides Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles did the whole turning animals or humans into anthropomorphic creatures better than that. But let's hope the second trailer gets me to change my mind about it, but for now, I've got some Halloween stuff to work on and in the meantime, see you all later.
