Name: Ahrimat Armagot
Age: Unknown
Species: Demon (Real); Rat Beastfolk (Known by the masses).
Birthplace: Barrows of La Flamme
Height: 9,18 Feet or 2,80 Meters
Personality: Every coin has two sides, any light has its shadow, and if Giermarr, with his pantomime of the benevolent princess, is the light in the dominion of the city of Gourmanierre, Ahrimat is the shadow that gives the city its life.
The rat-looking demon, given a physical form after stipulating a contract with the draconic ruler of the biggest city of La Flamme, isn't power hungry as his summoner, and instead lives with the mindset of an honorable warrior.
Fair, serious, and usually not a lot talkative, Ahrimat lives to fight in the arena as the gladiator he is, and to test the limits of himself and of the other warriors around him. His whole lifestyle, whatever he does, is headed to make him better in the arena that he's the ruler of, and the contract that he made with Giermarr gives him the freedom to do such.
Head of the army of Gourmanierre, Ahrimat, other than keeping the streets safe and making people follow the laws, is the main jailer of the city: his arena, the second biggest building of the city after the ruler's palace, acts as prison for any wrongdoer, and the demon, in a way to give a second chance to former criminals, offers them usually a possibility of freedom: a fight with himself, where the opponents have to prove their worth, in a way to escape their fate.
The fake Rat Beastfolk, as already said, is an honorable warrior: he never attacks his opponents from behind, is never pitiless on who's not more able to fight back, and hates who does such things or uses cheap stunts to win... but the thing he hates the most is a warrior who runs away from the battlefield like a coward.
Doing that against Ahrimat is a great offense to him, and if someone does it, he won't care anymore: he'll show a sadistic and cruel attitude, going to destroy his opponents with a violence not thinkable for the kind of fighter he is; making him angry like that is a death sentence, without possibility of going into the afterlife, as he usually devours body and soul of his victims, trapping them forever inside his body.
He enjoys destroying who makes him angry, revealing a bit of his demonic nature, that, actually, he always keeps hidden: the fact he's a demon is known only to his summoner, Giermarr, as if, if that particular would be revealed, Ahrimat could find himself against exorcists.
Breaking his bond with the draconic ruler of Gourmanierre would make his body disappear, negating him the chance to live like he wants, and so, to prevent his own demise, he goes under the mask of being a Rat Beastfolk.
A mask that he doesn't mind too much, as long as it works in giving him his quiet life.
Abilities: Ahrimat is a demon, an all-powerful creature from darkness, and would give him a wide array of magical abilities usually, but not a the moment. Being a Contract Demon, someone who has a contract with a master, the fake Rat Beastfolk has to submit to his master's desires: all of his mana, all of his magical powers, are tied to the city of Gourmanierre, giving it a demonic blessing; as long as that is active, reality will be warped to give prosperity and wealth to the city, continuously draining the demon from his mana, and so preventing him to put his magic in anything else... not that such an occurence bothers Ahrimat.
Beyond his magic, the gladiator shows inhuman strenght and resistence, being able to fight hand-to-hand against armed opponents without breaking a sweat, and being at the same type a force to be reckoned with; fighting him without magic or support is unthinkable, as he's a very strong foe to face.
As any other demon, Ahrimat is able to devour souls: he can do that with people he eats, ripping their spirits from their bodies as he digests them, trapping so the souls of his preys into his blubber; they'll be there, right into his fat and muscle, imprisoned and sentient for all the rest of their existence, until someone makes Ahrimat's physical form fade, and so letting them go free to their afterlife... be it Heaven or Hell.
