Finnegan The Shield Bearer
Finnegan is the youngest member of Anders’ crew, at only 15. He serves as the otter’s shield bearer, protecting his sword side from missile fire while sailing aboard his longship.
Finnigan is a mostly chipper, average woodlander kid. He craves adventure and associates himself more with the woodlanders and Redwallers than the “vermin” those same beasts often label him as, and he get along rather well with just about everyone in Anders’ fortress.
He loves the excitement of raiding and fighting, but was never a part of Anders crew back when they were actually raiding the woodlands and so has only experienced actual combat twice in the three-ish years he’s been Anders’ shield bearer. Like many within Anders’ crew, he was orphaned by one vermin incursion or another and brought into the fold.
