"Can't believe Sekhmet covered me in paw prints," Anubis complained.
He woke up from his hangover and he had severa paw prints on his face. Sekhmet placed her wine-covered paws on his face while they slept. Her steaming paws made sure that the prints wouldn't be removed in a while.
Fortunately for Anubis, the lioness was still asleep. It gave the jackal an opportunity to leave.
"Anubis?" a voice asked.
The jackal god turned around to meet Sekhmet's sister. She was a cat with sandy fur and was dressed in robes of white, blue, and gold. Her eyes were green contrasting the golden orange eyes of the lioness. And she wore earrings of blue and yellow that ended in golden bars. In contrast to her war oriented sister, she had a smaller and more delicate frame. The cat goddess approached Anubis to see how he was doing. Her footsteps were making grass and flowers grow behind her, yet another contrast to Sekhmet, who was associated with fire.
"Hi, Bastet," Anubis sighed, greeting his other feline sister. "Our beloved Sekhmet went to bully me at work. Rubbed her paws all over me to distract me from my duties."
"Oh my," Bastet put a hand on her lips, feeling sympathy for Anubis. "Come with me to my domain. I can heal you there."
"Thank you, Bastet," Anubis smiled a bit as he followed the goddess.
Upon entering Bastet's domain, Anubis was met with a purple sky filled with glowing lights and stars. Little by little, the paw prints that Sekhmet gave him vanished from his face. He was met by harp music as Bastet made her musical instruments play a musical tone for him.
"Is this better?" Bastet asked as she led Anubis to a table where they both sat in front of the other.
"Much better," Anubis nodded, feeling that the prints were disappearing little by little.
"Why does your face smell like wine?" Sekhmet asked as she sniffed the air.
"I tried to distract Sekhmet with some grape stomping," Anubis sighed. "She got drunk and wanted to share the taste of mortal blood by smearing her paws all over me."
"That does sound like Sekhmet," Bastet giggled at her sister's shenanigans. "But I know the perfect way to heal you."
The cat goddess snapped her fingers to turn her chair into a throne that was looming slightly above Anubis.
"What are you going to do-ah?" Anubis was interrupted by Bastet's paws grabbing his snout in a soft yet firm grip. Her pink paw pads smelled like flowers and grass and they felt cool to the touch. It was like like falling down into an oasis and relishing on moist and cool ambiance after spending weeks trapped in a desert.
"A little paw massage," Bastet giggled with a mischievous smirk. "Sekhmet's not the only feline in this pantheon with a mischievous smirk, brother. Once I heard your story, I had to take my turn."
The cat goddess winked playfully at the jackal god as her paws gripped his nose. She wasn't as brutal as the lioness before her, but she was far more teasing and dexterous in return. Her agile toes gripped his snout. Then they moved to his ears. And then his cheeks.
Anubis had a scared expression as Bastet's paws kept rubbing and teasing his face, wondering if the other goddesses of the pantheon were going to bully him with their feet the next time he let his guard down.
"Relax, brother," Bastet smiled as she watched lilac paw prints materialize across Anubis' face. Though she couldn't grow flowers on Anubis since he was a fellow god, she still left her mark on him. The paw prints materialized on his upper lip, on the center of his face, on his left cheek, and on the base of his left ear. The only paw print that was off color was the black one on his nose that belonged to Sekhmet. "Let my lavender paws make you forget your worries."
With nothing else to do, Anubis just left Bastet's paws play with him. He had the feeling that this was far from over.

Hmmm… I haven’t studied Egyptology in a long time. There was some crossover ideas I had with Greek gods (Sekhmet and Pan had some run-ins with each other). But I’m happy to think up a Ye Gods! version of other gods you have in mind. The major players in the comic proper were Lora (who is theoretically mortal but maybe not), Anubis, Sekhmet (who has two forms, one of which is Lora’s boss), and of course our trouble makers Ra and Osiris (who doesn’t want to be involved but can’t say no). XD Pan was also going to be a side character because I like him. :D
