This does give a twist to the events of the series, but without the spell of silence or the castle exploding.
Seeing this new branch of reality, it seems strange to me that Tofee, being so evil and twisted, did not try to brainwash Marco into joining his army of monsters. Although, that's more like Miss Heinous. Maybe when it's time to fight the former director again she will try again to reprogram Marco and in the process give him a more feminine mentality.
