So jungles and forests are nice and relaxing, right? Breeze rustling the leaves, gentle raindrops on the canopy, the scent of greenery, such peace and tranquility.
Yeah, now try going to one in my world. The wilds are dangerous and unpredictable, and nowhere is that more apparent than in a biome full of grabby vines and probably poisonous everythings. See, around mountains and flatlands, you can see things coming. But where the trees are packed so tight that something could be standing two meters from you and you wouldn't know it, you always have to be alert.
Maybe I should have invested more points in perception.
But what is the cause of my woes this time? Is the jungle truly alive, with a will of its own that compels it to attack whatever it sees as an intruder? Or is this some wicked enchantment cast by a lurking druid...and if so, what are they trying to hide...?
I'm going to break free of this. And if that druid thinks I'm the sort to turn away just because of some vague life-threatening magic, they don't know who I am.
