Jaygon is a seasoned adventurer with years of experience under his belt. He’s had many encounters with baddies big and small and has explored more dungeons than he can count, adding all his winnings to his gold hoard in true “dragon” fashion. His successes have given him a big ego, which can lead to questionable decisions in the face of adversity. Decisions which can lead to a variety of humiliating defeats, such as the ones below his ref!

Jaygon is a 24-year-old kobold, however he has delusionally convinced himself he is a dragon and will argue tooth and nail if anyone even implies otherwise. In his eyes, dragons are tougher, smarter, and superior to kobolds in every way, so it has become his quest to best the mightiest dragon in the land, and claim the title of “top dragon”.

Jaygon is quick to make enemies due to his smug nature and tendency to stick his snout where it doesn't belong. Should he walk away from an encounter unscathed, he'll be sure to rub his victory in the loser’s face with a cheesy one-liner.

While Jaygon is never one to truly beg or grovel even in the face of certain doom, he has no problem trying to weasel his way out of a sticky situation with a bag of gold or promises of riches and fame that he could never actually deliver on.

Given his diminutive size and lack of physical strength, Jaygon’s fighting style mostly consists of wearing his opponents down with his agility while finding potential weak points. While he usually uses tools and his surroundings to achieve this, Jaygon’s tail is surprisingly powerful, and can dish out damage on its own if a foe doesn’t have too tough of a hide.

It's been 3 years to the day since I last updated my Jaygon ref, and I feel enough has changed both in design and in lore to justify a new one! Flattening shenanigans included of course, cause Jaygon only gets to maintain a non-squished shape for 30 minutes at a time 🥞💦

I plan on making a small CYOA with Jaygon sometime this year to really flesh out his personality and speaking style, and there will be plenty of toony bad ends in there for those who like that kinda stuff, so stay tuned for that!
