As Kiyro was returning one evening from a successful cleansing mission, she’d notice an unusual disturbance in the shadows around her as she made her way through the mystic forest. It felt almost spiritual, but not quite, as she went about finding herself a clearing within the trees, before turning to face the shadows that seemed to grow around her.
“Alright, are you going to come out, or am I going to have to make you?” She’d ask, her pride glowing around her person as she waited for a response. It came as a slew of shadowy figures began to form themselves around her. Warriors made of darkness seemed to form from the mist and shadow of the moon as one in particular stepped out in front of her.
“You’ve grown to be quite the nuisance dear Kiyro, removing all the various curses and evil drawn spirits we’ve been taking so much care to cultivate.” The figure would state, Kiyro glaring at him as her hand rested on her katana’s sheath.
“Ohh? So you’re the reason I’ve had so much work to do as of late?” She’d ask, the individual chuckling as he’d nod.
“Indeed, one of them at least. We are many, but you are few. So it is time for you to be removed so our plans can continue,” He stated. The individual then made an effort to draw his weapon, but as he did so, a blue flash would form from behind Kiyro, and in an instant, long gashes formed along the figure's form. Kiyro would almost ‘land’ directly behind him, her body leaned forward in a combat stance, two glyphs readied in her hands as both her ‘puppeted’ weapons danced around her figure in glowing blue light. The figure gasped and then faded into shadow, Kiyro sighing then huff.
“Shadow projections, typical. How ‘many’ of you are there truly? Or are you just a fanatic stepping too close to the sun?”
“How did-raaa! Get her!” another projection yelled, the rest readying there weapons and taking combat positions and stances as Kiyro quickly scanned her surroundings. Her eyes shone a more golden light as she looked around and gauged the spiritual energies each of the respective individuals gave off, sussing out the copies and smirking as she let her spiritual tails flair.
“You really are an amateur.” she sighed, before she’d leap high into the air. Her blade and glaive flowed around her person like water, before she tossed one of the glyphs she held down and to the side. It stuck in the air, letting her foot rest upon it, directly before she lept straight toward a far leaping shadowy figure, the individual gasping as all the shadow figures suddenly rushed up to prevent her advance. They leapt up all around her, each attempting to take swings before her quick advance met its mark, but her puppetted weapons spun around her in a spiral arc, blocking each swing with one weapon before the next would glide through and cleave the shadow cleanly through. Each figure fading away in rapid succession before Kiyro herself was pressing her hand against the chest of the leaping figure.
“If you had the time, I’d tell you to learn to distribute your spirit more evenly between you and your clones, but see…you don’t have any time left.” She smirked, before the second glyph ignited against the individual's chest.
“FUUAAAAAAAAHHH!” He screamed, his body igniting in blue spirit fire as he fell to the ground in a heap, rolling and screaming as Kiyro gently landed on her feet after him. Any remaining shadow warriors dissipated in an instant as the individual in question screamed bloody murder, cursing Kiyro for all she was worth, Kiyro patiently waiting before after a time his voice would die out and his body would go still. Kiyro would smirk at it, her fire continuing to burn as the spirit languished within it, as she let her hands guide her katana back in its sheath and her glaive back onto her back.
“If your spirit was pure, that fire would hardly even hurt you.” She stated simply, before she’d go about turning and walking away back into the forest. She’d make her way to the guildhall with little issue after that, with even more of a bounty to claim and a smile on her face.
ANDD as the last image I'm gonna throw out here during this posting spree, I thought I really should get out this absolutely lovely piece done by
ScarletGreninja . It's a piece I got from them a LONg while back when I was looking for a piece to help show of Kiyro actually being effective at what she does, and it took me until now to finally go about writing the story for it >//>; . Why must even small battle scenes take so much more energy and motivation than porn heck. Either way though, happy to get this done with my small 'Kiyro kick', and happy to show it to all of you ; v ; Hopefully you can see her a little more as the warrior she is, if you weren't already doing so XD.
And hope those that are reading this at/around time of position enjoyed this spreee! ; v;
