"What is this ?"

I can't help but look with curiosity at the little statue placed on top of a pile of mixed artefacts, tissues, cushions... and what seemed to be a big picnic basket ?

"This ? Don't touch at it, from what i have been told it's coming from an exotic species of dragon that mastered the magic of metamorphosis."

... Is that so ? Woah... I... really wonder how they did that ? I mean i can't talk about "metamorphosis" for the fire stone thing... but maybe it's something like that ?
*Gets slightly closer*

"... NOoooo... ! I know what you're thinking about ! Stop it, right now !

*I wave my limb up in the air, looking incredulous and taking a few steps back.*

"What ? Me ? Never ! I did nothing ! Sheesh, why so suspicious of a friend ?"

"I know you Aeryl... now, just keep out of it, and i'll show you something else you might like later !"

I nod slowly a few times... i just can't help but send a few glares back at the little statue. Gosh, that's my kind of thing ! I explore and try to understand stuffs... just a few closer looks won't do any harm !
... And i know just the trick for it !
A few magic tricks to bring the figurine right on to me while i see Nordstrom looking away, and me pretending to mind my own business... aaaand... here it goes !

This shape... feels kinda familiar. These dragons are similar to my species, but 2 wings ? Antennas ? That's... fascinating. I need to see them ! How do they fly ? How do they feel with these antennas ? How do they look like ?!
*Rumble...*
*Lost in my thoughts, i didn't see that the statue glowed in a strange blue light and the gem shaped eyes seem to glimmer. And the next moment... waves of silk emerged from it, wrapping me suddenly and swiftly !*

*... Crraaacck...*

"AERYL ! Aeryl... what are you... HEY ?!"

"Uuhh... buhh... Whaahh ?"

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO TOUCH IT !! Look at you now !"

Looking at my body, i tried to make sens of new alien sensations, vibrating wings, sensitive antennas that i needed to be careful about !... And quite stronger scales and size. Uh.

"... I know, but i wanted to try it !"

... I have no regrets.

... I'm at a loss of word once again, this has been another wonderful gift, made by an incredible artist, making Aeryl into a Silkwing from Wings of Fire o_o
I'm a big fan of WoF myself, though i have discovered it through the comic versions. So... funnily enough... i'm not even at the point were Silkwings are introduced in the story xD
Though i REALLY recommend WoF to anyone, this has been an amazing surprise to me, and it's quite hard to resist the need to just jump on the books and read it all, instead of waiting for the comics ! (... I just try to keep to one medium usually, to make things easier on top of the ginormous pile of things i want to do and watch)

And Aeryl looks so great in there. I thought that Silkwings probably were the species-swap that would "fit" Aeryl the most in the WoF world, both for the shape, colours, but also the good flying abilities and sensing weather with their antennas.
... I didn't expect him to look "buffed up" though ! Look at him ! All muscular like the other big dragons ! This artifact works better than any workout tips ever xD
