From start to this point it took a grand total of 1 minute for Morris to breach the atmosphere, and at that size he realised gravity wasn’t doing a very good job of holding onto him anymore. The planet itself looked remarkably fragile - he’d left huge, foot-shaped craters in the surface of it, impressions that must have been as wide as continents and deep enough to force lava to the surface. For him it wasn’t even on purpose, merely the consequence of his weight, and he had an urge to do far more than just that.
