True, but just...like...
It's one thing to play with loyalties, or put someone in a spot, or threaten them, or actually show their downfall. Instead of doing any of that...they just had it happen. Shock bait. A plot twist with no setup and no long-term payoff, because the consequences could only be either tragic or returning to the status quo. (Or, I guess, mostly status quo. Ajani apparently decided to keep some of his metal bits, and Karn lost his spark...again.)

Don't get me wrong I'm glad he's cured, but my issue is more that he was robbed of any story telling beforehand. He goes missing for years despite being part of the main cast. They parade human after human in front of us, and then when it comes time for him to finally show up, he was compleated off screen. Now I can't say I would have ever had Ajani being the only completely cured planeswalker on my bingo card, but seeing as how today's story had him just disappear off screen yet again, I don't have high hopes that they'll actually treat him with any respect anytime soon.
The Phyrexia arc is the most attention he's been given since Alara, and it's not even really him, it's a brainwashed puppet wearing his face. And of course it only happened so that he could be damselled. Heaven forbid they ever actually let him, you know, do anything.
MTG is the thing i would like never happen but will not lie that he looks a bit even more badass especially like that
You have a great talent of drawing such divine looking characters and make them so magnificent that no amount of praise or words can describe it
SO powerful and epic

Posted two days ago on a lesser-seen picture but modified and expanded:
If the idea in these months of "No More Mr. Nice Guy" has been to draw attention to this character and wrench hearts with concern about how he's perceived going forward, not only has that been accomplished, but so has making sure he can still be the ambassador for the children's hospital drives and the center of the "Don't Split the Party" company value illustration.
For some, this may be the image of how at least those worries have subsided.
