Well here's something unexpected!
A year ago, I was planning on an incredibly ambitious TF comic for my friend
dr.zootsuit wherein their mad scientist sona ends up transformed into a Dreamcast-era Rouge the Bat! However, I wound up getting INCREDIBLY burnt out from the scope of the project (turns out I don't have the spoons for comic pages), but I wanted to at least show the end frame which I'm still incredible proud of- Consider this a post-TF, I suppose?
Either way, Rouge TFs and low-poly TFs are SUPER fun, but I always wanted to see if it’d be possible to make a low-poly TF with
actual 3D rendering! This is super experimental and took a LONG while to make, but I hope you all enjoy!

Well to be fair, it's a very distinct part of SA2's look!
If you want any additional bits of trivia about making this render, the background was made manually because I couldn't find screenshots of Dry Lagoon that were as high quality or angled in the way I wanted so I went "screw it, I'll figure out the textures myself." Also Rouge's mouth was illustrated in post, cause I still don't know how the heck those mouths work in-game. :P
