Raging Crow Distillery
Well, at least this one can be argued to be critter themed.
The ever expanding craft distillery whisky collection rolls on. While the Speaker's blend came from Alberta out in western Canada, this offering comes from Nova Scotia on our east cost. They were very good to work with, asking for clarification on one of the bottles. The web site listed the "Can't Call it Bourbon" as only in the 375ml, but it was in fact available in the full size. Shipping from Nova Scotia was to be $28, but they graciously lowered it to $18. I may have dropped a mention that I was collection craft brews.
It took two days to get it here. Not bad for crossing half of North America. (OK. more like a third). Either way, here they are. I couldn't get into them due to a bad cold and alcohol typically doesn't mix well with OTC meds.
They included a thank you card from the distillery in the order and Jill Linquist, the President of the company added a personal note saying " Ed, thank you for you order. Good luck with you collection." -Cheers Jill. Class act.

Green label is rye, red label is done in the bourbon style, but since it is not made in the US, they can't call it bourbon.

Tried the F.N. Rye.
It has a different flavor to it, not bad, just different. It's like thinking you have a Canada Dry and getting a Vernors. Thinking back on it, it sort of reminds me of that whisky you had from that guy with the special process to fast age whisky.
I liked the bourbon a little better. It has a nice up front flavor, but there's an aftertaste I still need to figure out. Still over all a good purchase.
