The group of survivors huddled together by the smoldering embers of their makeshift campfire as the winds howled around them, their forms shivering from the biting cold while they tried to keep warm as the blizzard grew around them. They had to flee, despite the weather, to escape and get to safer areas away from the corrupt people making their lives hell, yet none could have predicted the weather which struck as they fled.
They were all fortunate to have survived the crash, yet it left them upon the sides of a massive mountain with no places to escape, just steep cliffs and snow as far as the eyes could see, with barely enough vegetation to reinforce their tent and make a little campfire. Yet, despite what would happen, they were free, and though one desperately scavenged through the stolen airplane for anything to help, would the other two lean together, staring into the fading fire as they accepted their fates.
Yet though they heard their friend in the plane pray and call out, an act as desperate as any to contact divine aid in a world seemingly devoid of it, they never blamed him, knowing how the desperation of the situation could strike. And yet as that fur exited the plane would a warm glow surround the campfire, warming the air drastically as the snow melted away, not even evaporating as it just…vanished as the glow, almost fiery, surrounded the area.
At once was the biting cold of blizzard replaced with warmth akin to a lit fireplaces while light illuminated the space, causing confusion and wonder in the 3 survivors as they looked around in awe. And yet only as the one within the plane looked out did he see the blizzard lightening up, his eyes springing wide as he witnessed two colossal beings stare down at the three survivors, expressions of concern upon their muzzles, illuminated by the glow of eyes, tail, and palms.
The others noticed them just after, gasps escaping them as they gazed upon the mountainous feline and vulpine, whose mouths opened to speak to them. Their words boomed, yet were never painful, each word filled with a calming reassurance that reached in to their very souls as the two deities spoke, eyes focused on the trio of kind mortals, and on the look of hope spreading across their faces, tears welling in their eyes to the realization that they would not perish on this frozen mountain.
And upon the face of the one who prayed there was nothing but joy, to gaze upon divinity, and to see that it cared. For though the 3 had not yet been noticed by divinity, had the prayers certainly been; for the needs of a kind soul attracts benevolence, especially on a world filled with the corrupt.
A very delightful piece me and
AHugeBird got from the always wonderful
elkaart featuring Fenja and Ahab's gorgeous deity Vonsi.
Though often shown causing devastation, every deity of mine has a soft spot for any kind soul, and no such soul would ever be allowed to perish without at first feeling the safety of one of their worlds.
And with Vonsi along, these little ones will be in for warmth and love the likes of which they would have never before felt~
And hey, i even felt inspire to write a lil' story for it~
