The first few recruits early in Jordan's career as Padded Pride Alpha were that of his friends and his friends' friends... and those that happened to stumble into things~ One could say "right place, right time" for all of them.
Sabi the black bird was first, and easiest. All Jordan had to do was appeal to Sabi's desire to do him proud, as well as that urge to make that diaper a bit wetter~ Thus, the first Pride recruit and Luxio was made. So eager to be a kitten, Sabi even found himself as an actual Luxio within a few hours!
Rupert the meerkat was next, drawn in by the eager Sabi. Contact magic through the suits made quick work of the nervous and shy Shinx, and a diaper check by the soggy "Luxray" Sabi ensured he wasn't as dry as he started~
Karmen accidentally stumbled into the small group, and while it took some work to have him lower his guard, soon he was all cozy and snuggly on Jordan's lap with his new Shinx kigurumi.
Drabbit the dragon-rabbit-bird was another happy victim of Sabi's eager hunts, snuggled up into his Shinx suit surprisingly quickly. Purrhaps this was something he was thinking about before, and craving~
Arbanis, on a forest hike, accidentally bumped into the crinkly group of 'cats.' Luckily the recently recruited Drabbit was on rear guard (that is, he happened to be nearby) and whisked into existence a PokeToy for Arbanis to play with. Before long, the bronze dragon was magically suited and lost in Drabbit's hypnotic eyes, any focus remaining fixated on the Toy. If Arbanis hadn't wanted it as he claimed, why was he so eager to watch and settle in as a cozy Shinx?~

That date down below ain't for show- I really have been sitting on this for 3 years straight. I know, I know, shame on me. But it's not my fault that the Padded Pride kept evolving and had me to rework the lore repeatedly! I never meant to keep this as the biggest secret around. X3
