"I feel like there aren't words in any language to encapsulate how I feel about Dael. After being friends for years with a person, slowly growing closer through hard times, supporting one another. One day my heart slowly grew an ache and started to scream at me that it wanted more. That ache got louder and louder until it just couldn’t be ignored and I professed to Dael this year that I wanted to be his boyfriend, that I loved him. I can say with certainty that I love all of my friends, but something about Dael made my insides feel all funny.
I didn’t know what the future would hold when I asked him to be my boyfriend. My heart wanted what it wanted and I’d figure the rest out later. So I never expected that just a few months down the line I’d’ve found the person that I know deep down, I want to spend the rest of my life with. Conversations with him about sitting together wrapped up in blankets on the couch together watching movies, That day when we finally meet, excited about all the things the future holds. Couple things, looking forward to even the most boring of things life has to offer making my heart race because it has him in it.
Also, we spend each and every day working to make each other better people. Talking through our insecurities, our deep dark thoughts bit by bit. Chipping away at the little pieces of ourselves that we don’t like. Shaping each other into the selves we want ourselves to be. Because for each other. Our ideal image for each other is Whatever the other wants for themselves to be the happiest. Whatever would make us our happiest and healthiest selves. And we work together towards those goals
These last 5 months have been the happiest days of my life. I look forward every day to the next, and I look forward to the future. Every morning the sun shines a little brighter, it’s a little easier to get out of bed, and I get to say good morning to the most beautiful person whose presence has ever touched my life. And I hope to do that every morning for the rest of forever. I love a lot, and I love easily, I love all my friends. But I love Dael more than I've loved anyone ever before"
