Went to OKC weekend before Christmas and found these three. Found two Coyotes at a little shop at the Stockyards, and Amos found me a Bunny.
The yote on the left I'm not sure what he is made from, but he is pretty heavy for his size. Real nice detail in him.
The Bunny is the only white bunny I saw. Wounder's how to color the ear tips black?
The right Coyote is kinda sad. As much as I like him and as good as it looks and feel, it is furred in real coyote fur. I only hope it is from scraps from something else that was being made.
I remember back in the 90s some one was making fur coats for Barbie and a big bunch of people had a fit over them. The maker said they were using scraps from full coats that would have been thrown away. This is one of those that pull you in two different directions. I am one that can both morn for the yote that died for this and appreciate it at the same time.

I have a small collection of figurines like this, too. some of ceramic, some of pewter or cast-metal, a few are native carved wood. The fur one here looks like it's from rabbit or maybe 'yote. I wouldnt worry which, because its nice looking. These are all nice pieces.
I also have a small collection of pelts, from fox and coyote. Mixed feelings: Most were given to me, and all were from hunted specimens. I admire the\m for what they are, but I too have a bit of regret for their donors. However the pelt and its native beauty outlive the critter for many years. I guess that is but one of the reason the elders liked them...
