Malikonic is an average enchanter and an even more average alchemist, but the mixed leyborn makes an effort to ensure his products are at least true to their purpose with.... only side effects sometimes happening. Malikonic finally managed to set up shop in Vahina, a large and growing town in the center Muir'Beinn, the town does not have a proper magic store or even a talented enchanter, so the opportunity for him is limitless! His first customer arrives, and it's time for Malikonic to work his magic.
"Excuse me, do you sell enchanted wares?" A wolven leyborn asks, peeking into Malikonic's surprisingly roomy tent.
"That I do! Whatcha after, I have anything you need ranging from mana potions to a pipe flute that can make food taste differently!" Malikonic declares, gesturing to his wide variety of wares.
The wolven customer cocks their head to the side and looks from item to item, there are many colorful potions and a few trinkets that catch their eye buuuut they came here with a purpose. "Do you have a potion that can help my grandfather's sight? He's been blind for a couple of years now; he loves to paint but since his vision faded, he can't paint like he use to. He's tried to paint more abstract things but he's always upset at how they turn out."
Malikonic taps the tip of his beak, looking at his potions for something that might do the job. Malikonic plucks up a glowing red potion and shows it to the Wolven customer, "This is a potion of rejuvenation, it's a healing potion that focuses on restorative properties. By itself, I don't think it will fix your grandfather's sight-" Malikonic raises a digit in the air, then plucks up a blue potion that bubbles angrily at being shaken (Malikonic's eyes widen for a moment, having forgotten about the potion's volatile nature!), but the potion simmers after spilling a few drops onto the counter which turns into an almost ghostly vapor. "If combined with this potion of greater sight, the combined effect has a high chance of repairing your grandfather's sight." Malikonic sets both potions down, ensuring both are corked tightly. "I have a full transparency policy in which I am obligated to inform you of a few possibilities in regards to these potions. Firstly, the potion of greater sight is not cheap; fifty gold coins each, on top of the potion of rejuvenation which costs ten gold coins. It may take multiple doses for significant effect. Secondly, it's not guaranteed that this will restore his sight, but you should be able to tell after the first dose of the potions. If your grandfather can pick up on light sources or even gain back some blurry vision; it means the potions took effect and can be used to gradually repair his vision." Malikonic clicks his beak, then crosses his arms. "If you need additional doses of the potions, I'll provide a discount; which we'll discuss at the time of purchase."
The wolven customer listens carefully, nodding with each bit of information, once Malikonic finishes talking, the wolven reaches into a pouch upon their side without hesitation and begins counting golden coins. The leyborn sets the coins down in neat stacks of ten and smiles, "I'll take them."
Malikonic's eyes narrow softly, if not for his beak, he'd certainly be smiling. The mixed leyborn slides the potions over to his customer, and retrieves the coins with a light bow of his head. "A pleasure doing business with you. Let me know if the potions fixed his vision without any additional doses, it means I can leave the recipe the same for similar purposes in the future!"
The wolven leyborn takes the potions and returns the bow of his head, "I will, thank you." then turns and leaves with an eager grin, looking forward to providing their grandfather with a priceless gift.
Malikonic shuffles the coins in his grasp with a small song chirped out from his beak, "No hesitation at all, huh? Well... not being spat at just for my appearance alone is quite nice, but if business is like this often? Hells and heavens I might actually settle here." Malikonic chuckles to himself and stashes the coins in a lock-box before turning around to start making replacements for the sold goods, a bird song softly chirping from inside the tent for anyone nearby to hear and possibly be lured in by.
"Ooooh wayward star
Where did you fall?
To the mountains so high
Or the seas so low?
Ooooh wayward star
Bring me a way back home
Where the wine is cheap and the hearth is warm
Oooooh wayward star..."

For such a severe looking and quite menacing in case of his appearance man he has wholesome and nice soul
Though the people definitely need to meet the person by his deeds, how he behaves, his tallents and professionalism instead judging by how he looks
And it seems he finally found such place. Well to be honest he is an extraordinary merchant-alchemist because instead of using hope of that wolf-man for a profit he warned carefully about it can be not enough and there is no miracle-potions that can cure instantly. He is an honest man and honesty can be valued as much as gold itself
Absolutely lovely piece of art and story. They perfectly add to each other

Thank you <3
Malikonic doesn't try to do what's always the kindest, sometimes the kindest decision is also just the best business decision. Selling faulty products is a good way to put yourself on a blacklist! "Honesty sells", his father use to always tell him! He's still a decent sort, but he definitely isn't the type to just do charity work unless it's at least beneficial in some way.
