While Ramona is cleaning out her attic while her friends Alesa and Katie "help", she discovers a strange object, depicting a pair of arrows. It begins to glow as she and her friends begin to change. Ramona's hair darkens as it restyles itself. The arms of her sweater disappear as it lengthens into a toga. Her mind alters, removing her knowledge of the modern day and changing her native language to Vulgar Latin, leaving her as "a Roman".
Alesa, who was attentively watching her friend pick up the cursed relic, feels her fingers fuse together into flippers. Her legs merge, becoming a tail, while her nose turns dark and moist. Her clothes disappear and she falls over, now "a seal".
Katie, not particularly paying attention to what's happening, finds herself unable to move as her legs force her into a sitting position. She flattens out and turns to light fabric, as her bones reshape into a cross of wood. She continues leaning against the attic wall, now nothing more than "a kite".
