Old warrior (my new OC's quick sketch)
This lioness is called Bora.
She is the older cousin of Mufasa and Scar, managed to catch and survive the reign of both, losing sight in one eye in a battle against hyenas. Now mature and battered by life, Bora shares the honorary position of senior huntress with Sarabi and Sarafina.
The lioness often jokes about her frightening appearance, knowing that the abundance of scars and a pigment spot can confuse little lion cubs. And as if against her words, a baby like Kiara cannot be torn away from Bora.
She loves to lie on hot rocks with her childhood friends. Squinting her bright cornflower blue eye, she tells the lion cubs stories of bygone days in a hoarse, softened bass, looking up at the serene blue savanna sky. She is calm about the future now that Simba has returned and the Circle of Life has been restored.
However, Bora does not lose his grip. She is still approached for advice on hunting, it is she who checks the young hunters and, together with other elders, determines the appropriate role for each in the pride.
