Team picture of the drivers with the Peugeot 9X8 for the WEC of the 2022 season.
The driver:
Xaver Löwe (GER)
Ludwig Husky (AUT)
Raf Mandwolf (BRA)
I drew the picture for Ludwig because he is a total motorsport fan like me, he drives a Peugeot 406 privately and they are now entering the WEC this season.
This was already planned when the FIA WEC was founded in 2012, but a few weeks before the start of the season they withdrew from the prototype class and thus also from LeMans. The 908 HYbrid4, scheduled to compete for the first season of the WEC, never raced. The last race for Peugeot at LeMans was in 2011 with the HDi FAP 908. But now they will compete again in 2023 in the new hypercar class and will drive against Toyota, Glickenhaus, Porsche, Ferrari and other manufacturers. The 9X8 surprised with its unusual shape and is already an icon that has a lot of potential and will surely one day be at the top of the winner's podium. Even if the first outing at Monza wasn't exactly promising. In any case, I'm looking forward to future races at the 24 Hours of LeMans. With many manufacturers finally back in the top tier and the return of Porsche and Ferrari, there will be many more epic duels on the track for overall victory in the future.
A special thanks to
the_raf for allowing me to draw his character and integrate it into the picture. It was an honor and I've never had so much fun digitally drawing a picture. It was a nice challenge and I was able to learn a lot from it. So thanks again!
