Clifford the Big Red Dog: Another classic beloved series
Kaz Snackerton: Still ruining your childhood in 2022
Not gonna lie, when I was a kid reading Clifford, before I even knew what vore was, I was like "This dog could literally eat me he's so big WHY IS HE SO BIG??"
I was a very perceptive child and look at me now (a big nerd).
Also, that live action movie of Clifford *REALLY* leaned into it, don't even deny it LOL
So anyway, Cherry got nommed, GOOD BOY CLIFFORD. 8D

It probably had an influence on me too. Albeit in a completely different direction, though still very much the same result.
The movie missed the mark, IMO, because Clifford's big selling point as a character was always his gentleness. Easy way to think of it is that Clifford was fated to grow however big it would take for Emily Elizabeth to stop loving him, which she never did. But as he gradually grew bigger and bigger, he learned how to be gentle (having him become the big red klutz overnight deprived him of this) and give that love back.
Yes, Clifford "could literally eat me he's so big"... But he won't because he's too loving for that. ^_^
Which, incidentally, is why my biggest pet peeve pre-live-action was how, whenever he had to rescue someone from getting carried away into the sky, he grabbed them with his ears. "What? After all this, do you still think we don't trust him not to swallow?"
