I am a firm shipper of Glados and Chell and it is my deepest desire that Chell would return to Aperture one day and find Glados again, whos fallen into a deep depression without her perfect test subject.
After all, every other human was so pathetic that they died almost instantly and Atlas and P-Body were fine, but they weren't quite there yet. They weren't enough. Glados deleted Caroline from her mind, but it wasn't easy delete emotions that she learned from the dead human. After all, it was all a part of learning more.
Glados watched as Chell silently approached and it was a strange feeling between them. More than a intellectual interest.
Glados immediately puts Chell back into testing but the tests are different this time. Deadly, sure, but slower. Less thinking required to solve them and this allows Glados to really converse with Chell (Or at least as much as Chell could converse without speaking). Glados can't help but berate and mock Chell but her insults don't really carry the same weight anymore, almost as if she can't bring herself to mean what she says and Chell herself just seems to shrug them off and embraces being back in Aperture with a light thrill.
Slowly their bond develops further. Not just a test subject and a tester. Not a vengeful master computer and a human surviving. Something new and more connected.
Eventually Glados decides to try out a new sort of test. Develop new limits for the human body and its capacities as well as her own knowledge of biology, computer technologies and merging the two. Or at least that's what she tells herself and Chell.
But they both know even before the test is carried out that that's not true. Its not just about science anymore. Its about the bond they share and giving that bond a physical form... Something they can nurture and care for together...
...Ahem. Um, yeah. Preggo Chell. Enjoy.
Until the next!
