Seems like at Watatsumi Island the Fatui have not only tested the usage of delusions. Special type of weapon that causes transformation into inanimate objects has also been spotted field testing. This is what Gorou was meant to report, but before he was able to, he experienced firsthand how terryfing the new weaponry is.
