It's again the second half of September in the quiet princedom of Valmeridia.
Like every year, Sir Cordiale prepares for the harvest of ripe grapes, in order to turn them into good wine.
The hectic work involves any subject of the land who wishes to take home, from there to the following year, an excellent bottle of wine to drink with the family.
Prince Borgon is no exception, accustomed to carrying out such a task with pleasure from an early age.
And this year in particular, the ruler of Valmeridia has decided to ask some of his friends for help in the activities that precede the production of the must.
Probably for some of the dragons present, coming from distant kingdoms, pressing grapes directly with bare feet may seem strange, but so tradition dictates.
Helped by two "brave" friends, the dragon prince then begins to dance with them in a tub full of ripe grapes,
pounding them to the rhythm of the notes produced by a flute that echoes down from the valley.
However, harvest is not only a moment of work, but also of leisure and communion: so, while there are those who spend their time decorating their friends with beautiful garlands,
others simply relax and enjoy the beautiful day which will soon begin.
And while the first rays of the sun warm the surrounding environment, fading the mantle of the night and making the contours of Sir Cordiale less and less defined,
the elderly hare lets himself go to ancient memories and feelings still alive in him with a poem that well would have embodied that sober bacchanal~It's been a while since I've commissioned a nice group pic with friends. This time, I asked
Bleat-Sheep's services, and I'm glad I did! Her round lines are perfect for such a cute and relaxing themed pic!Here in Italy squishing the grapes is an activity that is seen as a sort of festivity, especially when you know the harvest was good and you'll produce awesome wine ^^
