And now we get back to the food that is near and dear to my heart (literally, if its the cholesterol :P)....BACON!
Thank you huttser-coyote !

These burgers were made with the utmost of love. I made these by sizzling some applewood smoked bacon glazed with maple syrup, and then cooking the beef burgers on top to soak it in. The burgers themselves contained hickory smoked sea salt and mesquite onion powder, and then topped with pepper jack cheese. I added Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce next, along with some fresh tomato and avocado wedges before putting the bacon on top to let the grease drip down onto the toasted bun.
Here's the recipe!
What You Need:
1 pound ground beef (80/20 lean)
1-2 slices applewood smoked bacon
Maple syrup
1-2 tbsp. hickory smoked sea salt
1 tbsp. mesquite onion powder
Pepper jack cheese
Kaiser roll, toasted
Tomato
Avocado
1-2 tbsp Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce, original
Recipe:
Cook the bacon on a grill, brushing with the maple syrup. When done, let cool while reserving the bacon grease. Meanwhile, combine the ground beef with the hickory salt and onion powder. Form into patties and place on the grill. Cook to desired temperature.
Add pepper jack cheese on the burgers until melted. Place burgers on a toasted kaiser roll, and then add BBQ sauce, tomato, avocado, and finally the bacon on top. Add any additional ingredients you wish.
Enjoy! Made in the kitchen of:
