On a warm summer's day Sascha and his plushie companion Sammy got up early, wolved down breakfast and then headed into the garden as soon as the little bearkitty got dressed into a soft purple t-shirt, denim shorts and a cute checkered bandana around his neck.
The weather had been a bit cold and unpleasant the last couple of days, so Sascha had a lot of energy to burn off.
After a while of running around with Sammy, he had the idea to practice some rolls and handstands.
Something he always struggled with in school.
Clumsily he tried to roll on the grass and get up again in one motion. But somehow he couldn't really get it to work and always tangled himself up in his own legs and arms, causing him to land on his tush a couple of times.
Becoming a little frustrated he tried a handstand and after a couple of tries, he somehow managed to stay upright for a few second before falling down again into the soft grass.
Good enough for him.
Panting he flopped down on the grass, pulling his favorite long-tailed lynx plushie close to him, giving Sammy a few hugs and cuddles, before draining a juice box in one single sip.
"I dun know, Sammy. Why don't the rolls work? Rolls are dumb, I don't wanna do them!"
The plushie however seems to smile encouraging at his little owner, coaxing him into trying once more.
"Meow."
"You think I can do it?"
"Meow!"
"Alright, alright..."
Sascha picked himself up from the grass, got in position and tried again.
He was still struggling to coordinate his legs and big paws and almost tangled himself up again, because his shirt went all the way up to his bandan... but it looked better this time. Finally he got more speed and control.
His plushie companion was with him all the way, smiling at him and cheering him on... and Sascha finally made it and stood on his own paws after the roll.
It was wobbly, it was clumsy, his shirt was still tangled up somewhere and it would take a long time to do it effortless... but he did it and Sammy could not be prouder of his little owner.
A super sweet and adorable commission, drawn by the friendly and awesome

Thank you very much, I really love how soft and dynamic the picture came out.
I was always struggling with floor exercises and gymnastics in school and most of the time was the laughingstock of the class. <.<
But here the struggle is shown in such a cute and playful way, that you could not help but smile at this clumsy bearkitty's attempts. No bad feelings, nobody to laugh, just a supportive plushie companion to cheer him on.
A slice of life, just the way I love Littlefur/Babyfur art :)
