In addition to @Drakeil's point, the "hollow bones" actually allows birds greater access to oxygen during flight by storing air. This also results in living bird bones being denser and therfore heavier than normal bones.

I just realized something using that creation magic of hers. Could she in theory just make a spiral staircase escalator up the stairs to get there quicker? Im not dissing the wings they look cool as hell Im just curious if its possible.

It isn't a matter of "could she", it is a matter of "does she comprehend what makes it work and how". That magic requires that the user understand how the things work and what makes them tick.

It was the same question regarding why Fen didn't simply conjure up a parachute on the way down. She'd have to understand how they function in order to create a facsimile of one.

It also assumes that they even exist in the present ToT world and that she remembers that it is an option.

At the end of the day it is Hadalen "magic", so it can create anything so long as the user comprehends how the thing they are making works and what makes it work.

Why didn't shi just pull a wolverene and climb her way back up on the outside? it would be a shorter and more direct path than the winding stairs. less taxing than flying straight up without using thermal's for lift.

Vertical flight is fng hard. Like. Really fng hard. The reason that rockets are so big is becouse vertical flight is REALLY FNG hard.
