I’m not disagreeing with your statement, was just thinking out loud about how she might have a better chance of flying. And you are right about the advantage hollow bones give birds... but let’s be honest Sly, are either of us going to tell Fen to her face that ‘she may be too heavy’ without first having an escape plan? 😎
Notes wing shape
Not the most ideal choice for Vertical Ascents. Luckily serious physical training with magic wings helps avoid a second crash course on fall mitigation
Does bring the wonder of how much study and control goes in. Imagine being able to shift wing shape to the task. The Ultimate variable wing flight!
Still love how birds make it look so effortless.

True... but it may take some exposure. Only creating what you can imagine and control.
Common wings of large soaring birds with a touch of flitty lil bird with plenty of room for error in flap as opposed to rockets, let alone a jet.
Oooh... imagine a technician with a skilled Hadalen associate! ^v^

It isn't a matter of "could she", it is a matter of "does she comprehend what makes it work and how". That magic requires that the user understand how the things work and what makes them tick.
It was the same question regarding why Fen didn't simply conjure up a parachute on the way down. She'd have to understand how they function in order to create a facsimile of one.
It also assumes that they even exist in the present ToT world and that she remembers that it is an option.
At the end of the day it is Hadalen "magic", so it can create anything so long as the user comprehends how the thing they are making works and what makes it work.
