A childhood friend of mine passed along an illustration opportunity to me! Like, my first friend ever, from across the yard from my house. We still keep in touch, despite her moving so far away, and she still does art, too, but more abstract than what the author wanted, so she passed the idea for me.

The content is a fantasy novel, and the author wants 3 character portraits, and this is me working on the first. Since I'm just starting out drawing after my brain was getting eaten by Lyme spirochete, I was just planning on seeing if I COULD do it- Draw an anthro tiger bust. My friend carried the sketch over to the author, and he really wants me to do it! I might leave the coloring to my best friend, because she has more experience with paints and learning how to color just the way he wants me to will probably add years onto the deadline. xD

But I have to thank my first ever best friend for puttng the fire under me to actually pick up a pencil. And every day, no less!! I might really be back in the art world. ♡ I hope I can reconnect with old friends, or at least make some new ones on this new but familiar journey...
