What was supposed to be a doodle turned into something much more. As per the usual, with me. x3 Even went and made knockoff spy music for this one. Why yes, the music in here is called mgsripoff1.wav and mgsripoff2.wav. :3
Anyway! In this one, you're playing a video game where you and your (devlishly-handsome) squirrel partner are sneaking aboard a sub, in order to foil some evil plans and stop the world being taken over and all that! And................well, things suddenly go very bad. x3 In a very vorish way.
I had fun making it, got to try out some new plugins, hopefully it came out alright. Synopsis below, headphones are recommended, same as always. Oh, and, I wasn't imagining the guard to be any specific species, other than probably a big cat of some kind? But for the writing in here, I'm going to go with the idea I'd had, which is that the pred is a big cougar fellow. :3 You can imagine whoever, of course!
0:00 - You've just entered the submarine with your spy partner. Piece of cake so far. You can already hear the burbling of the laboratory equipment up ahead that you've gotta deal with. Should just be a simple matter of..
0:09 - Oh no! A guard! You and your partner quickly duck into a nearby supply closet, because of course a video game submarine would have one of those. You hide quietly in there while the guard slowly walks by.. Given the heaviness of the footsteps, this must be some of those super-charged guards you've seen walking around. Big, beefy guys, with big ol' muscleguts on them.. You'd only gotten this far because of avoiding them, taking them head-on would be quite tricky! You seem to recall something about them being souped up on super-serum..? Or maybe they were just naturally big? This game's plot was all over the place; the point was, these guards were big and nasty. You stay quiet for a little longer, until you're pretty sure he's far enough away to talk. Your squirrelish partner turns to you for a bit of dialogue, and-
0:31 - ALERT music immediately begins playing as the guard steps under the doorframe and enters the supply closet with you! He's a big, scowling cougar fellow who stands several feet taller than the both of you, and before you can react and hit the QTE that just popped up, he steps forward and HLOMPHS over your partner's whole upper body at once, savoring him for a moment or two before starting to loudly slurp and swallow.. His gaze falls on you as he finishes off your partner, sending him down into that domed gut where he's mostly lost to sight..
0:48 - He steps forward towards you, and you back straight into the wall. And he doesn't stop until his gut is pressing semi-firmly into your upper body, pinning you between the wall and his squirming gut. Taking a breath, he breathes out a rancid belch, smelling of the squirrel he just ate. He dismissively looks down at you, almost as if daring you to start struggling, while his stomach lets out a low, ominous growl...
1:01 - His stomach begins glorping and churning, while your partner's HP bar in the corner starts ticking down. There's a "STRUGGLE!" bar flashing on the side, too, but for whatever reason, you just kinda.....sit and admire the view for a bit. Not that you're going to leave your partner to digest, who would do that?? But there's nothing wrong with letting this full stomach dominate your vision, while the satisfied guard enjoys the squirms in his belly and the cutie in front of him.. Did he think you were cute? Or were you just unsnarfed for dramatic reasons? Every once in a while, the guard breathes a long breath out into your face, just to taunt you. Poor you, totally helplessly stuck and unable to escape....totally unable to escape, yeah, not cause you weren't hitting any buttons or anything.
1:31 - The guard loudly yawns, not finding your lack of struggles all that exciting. You almost think you can hear your partner a little better, maybe the sound's coming up his throat? But before you can think too hard on it, he's back to grinning down at you. Oh wait, that's new, he's smirking at you now.. Might have to do with how much HP your partner has lost. You can feel the rumble in the cougar's gut as his gut works at the squirrel, before he leans in and lets an enormous belch out right into your face! You can briefly see his cheeks flapping and saliva splattering into your face, before he finishes it off with a hot sigh..
1:50 - As you recover from that display, you only now start to realize that the music has been slowly fading out for a time, now. As has the "STRUGGLE!" bar on the side. The whole scene was turning into a cinematic, with the cougar smirking, pressing you into the wall with his belly and breathing hot, digestive fumes into your face. Still present is the squirrel's HP bar, which dips into the red section, cuing a "He's gonna digest me!" cry and a smug stomach pat from the cougar. Yes, he's going to digest your friend. And you're still not struggling. Your partner's squirms are getting weaker, now, and the cougar is sounding more satisfied the more you continue to sit idly by and let him claim the squirrel you're supposed to be saving the world with... There's nothing but the weak cries of the squirrel, the glorps of the belly, and the big cougar's satisfied sighs as he keeps you pressed into the wall with that strong gut.. If you were gonna struggle, now would be the time.. Those burblings are getting a fair bit louder, after all...
2:24 - "Mmm..." The cougar vocalizes with a lazy smirk, right as the squirrel's HP bar dips to the very last pips, and.. Right as it hits zero, the cougar's stomach begins bubbling and burbling loudly, the squirrel's cries growing as he realizes what's about to happen, and... In the span of a few powerful seconds, your game partner is liquified inside of the cougar's stomach, burbled away mid-yell. A low, throaty belch from the cougar is the period that punctuates the end of his time as a living character. This is...normally the time when you would get a Game Over screen about failing to protect critical mission assets. But instead, just more cougar breath as he breathes in your face.. His stomach softly rumbles and bubbles as something else is worked over in there. And after a moment, that "something" is revealed, as the cougar breathes out an enormous, rumbling belch directly in your face, expelling several slime-soaked parts of the squirrel's gear in the process. Yep, that was definitely it for the squirrel.. The big cougar yawns, and the screen finally starts to fade to black, though not with a "Game Over" attached.. Maybe this was like an alternate ending or something? Either way....not the worst way for this mission to end, that's for sure.
