Koopew Dragew (Male - Alpha Elder)
The Koopew’s Life Cycle
The life cycle of the Koopew is perhaps the most complicated one in all of Stellarz; It consists of seven stages. (Eight if you count the egg as one.) The most interesting thing about the Koopew life cycle outside of its large number of separately identifiable stages is the fact that Koopews do not die from old age complications. Instead of growing weaker with age, Koopews continue to grow larger, stronger, and better in many ways; Thus inciting a Koopew is old is uniquely a complement!
Dragew
333 to 647 Earth Years after hatching.
Average Height: 248 cm (8′ 2″)
Average Mass: 249 kg (549 lb)
Once a Koopew manages to survive for a staggering three hundred and thirty-three Earth years after they hatched, they become a Dragew. Less than one percent of Koopew survive to become a Dragew.
Most Dragew are taller than Humans by at least sixty centimeters or more, and they weigh easily over two hundred kilograms. The fur from the base of their head, down their neck, across their belly, and most of the way down their tail, sheds off and is replaced with tough peach scales; These scales are fairly resilient to blunt damage and all but the sharpest of swords swung by the strongest of Humans, the scales are also heavily resistant to the elements; The rest of their skin and fur are still vulnerable to most things though.
Where their temples would be, a Dragew has developed a pair of ‘fins’. These ‘fins’ serve two purposes, helping keep the Koopew’s body temperature regulated, and drawing Mana into their bodies more easily. On top of being able to cast spells like other species, the Dragew can choose to conjure various spells from their mouths for a stronger effect at the cost of being more taxing on their magical energies, sort of like a Dragon breathing fire, or ice.
Just like the Elphe, the Dragew are even more promiscuous, fertile, and sexually active, more so than the Elphe. Most signs of monogamy are gone by this point in their lives, though if their significant other has survived to this point they will tend to remain together. It is more common to find a Dragew as an important figure in society than to find a Dragew as an average citizen.
