Aside from knowing this feeling all too well, especially when one works at a job they hate, but they don't have any options because of the plague that has consumed the globe at the time of writing this... I kind of get a bit of an Ed Hopper vibe from this.
It takes a rare talent to capture the quiet melancholy of white, fluorescent light at dark and pair it with that feeling that one isn't so much looking at a static picture, but more looking into a window on still moments in a life, even if that life is fictional. Nice touch with the tail crossing panels as well. It kind of adds to that feeling of the hours bleeding into each other after a certain point.
But to a certain extent...This has been me at different points in my life up to the present. I can't help but wonder how many times I've nodded off with that expression, or at least something similar, on my face.
On another note, I've always found something about that sort of white fluorescent lights and the thrumming sound they make to be rather depressing.
