My Druid character from D&D, this is Nisien. He's a bit of a psychopath, and hellbent on eliminating all humans, elves and dwarves...including himself...all for the sake of saving nature, of course.
I ought to draw more of him. Dangit. XD
So I was thinking...what would make Nisien give the viewer the "evil eye" like that? I decided that he's reacting to his partner, Legatus (a very prissy elf), shouting the following:
"Nisien, stop hugging my horse! And for Odin's sake PUT SOME DAMNED PANTS ON RIGHT THIS INSTANT."

Yea, her clan actually sent her on a suicide mission because she was a disgrace, she came from a proud family and a proud clan where drinking, disorderly behavior, and unruleyness were sins for females, who were supposed to be the leaders and wise people of the group. She acted more like a brawling male than a female and would rather be hunting and planting trees doing heavywork than being a wise leader. So.....she got thrown out and then joined up with all the other peoples of the party.
I miss playing her, can you tell? =P

:D Due to the system being more complex and HEAVILY reliant on combat, the game has lost popularity in the past few years as more and more gamers are straining for in-depth character development and interaction. White Wolf's now-defunct "World of Darkness" games were perfect for that, focusing as much on the mental and social aspects of the character as their ability to throw down.
However, D&D and Palladium have special places in my heart for those days where you just REALLY wanna go out and KILL SHIT GOOD. ;)

actually how interactive and rounded D&D is, depends on the DM, especially more recently, when they have gone more and more in depth with the non fighting and RPing aspects. Its just most groups are straight guys who just wanna kill things :P where as i'd like to do that AND RP, but altho teffy (my hubby AND dm [ yeah if i didn't play D&D i'd be a D&D widow] loves the RPing aspect too, but its a slow process getting the other two guys in our group to RP more)
