"Which becomes the lie: The mask for whom you want to be, or the mask for whom you always were?"
In a little town in Japan, there's a small shop hosted by a demure, polite, masked Japanese girl. All of her wares are hand-made to order, and she serves only the most... discerning clientele. Her name? Ayaka. Her products? Exotic, Custom-made, enchanted masks with a unique mechanic. Her secret? The family guardian spirit, a Kitsune that shares her body and delights in the girl's craft. But be wary, she won't make just any mask, for anyone. And the consequences for angering the spirit can be dire indeed...
Ayaka is an "open-source" character that others are free to use for specific scenarios! Most of the time, Ayaka herself is absent for her clients, preferring instead to keep in touch with curious clients via phone or computer. Gently and mischievously encouraging first time patrons to try on her masks and enjoy their hidden, transformative effects! People wishing to custom order Ayaka's wares are encouraged to follow the guidelines below!
1: No "Boring" Masks - The kitsune spirit enjoys a touch of chaos and color. And she usually refuses to make masks that would be "just you, but hotter/buffer/as a girl/etc." If what you want can be achieved with a makeup kit, a doctor's visit, or a consistent care/gym regimen, then don't waste Ayaka's time. Likewise, masks that turn you into or disguise you as a popular media character or real life person of interest, such as a famous actor or video game character, are usually off-limits, with a few exceptions. I.E: A mask that just turns you into Scarlett Johansson or Sonic the Hedgehog is a no go, but a chocobo from Final Fantasy or a Pokemon, especially a custom one you've made with a unique design, is perfectly acceptable. Of course the best mask you can ask for is one of your Sona. =)
2: You Can Always Go Back - 99% of the time, Ayaka's masks leave behind a plain, skin-tone mask that holds your old form. In a sense, the mask "swaps" the essence of the designed form held within with the form of its current wearer. The effects are otherwise permanent, but if you need or want to go back to your regular body, simply "put your face back on" as it were. And don't worry about body-snatcher scenarios! The mask always "stores" the memory of its prior form, so no one can put on the leftover mask to steal your old body! Disclaimer: Ayaka cannot help you and claims no responsibility if your mask is lost, stolen, or otherwise broken. Please store your masks in a safe, secure environment (such as the case they're shipped in) when not in use!
3: Powers Will Be Nerfed As Needed - Some people ask for masks that would make them dangerous indeed, and while Ayaka's spirit guardian is powerful and can grant many gifts, she can't make you a god. Physical powers you'd expect from more conventional forms will be granted with no stipulations: claws will be sharp, wings will allow flight, hides will be tough, strong legs will be fast, etc. But when you get to the point where you could be causing serious problems or damage, Ayaka will start to reign it back. Fire breath for dragons, for instance, can LOOK impressive, but will do little more than cover someone in soot or light a candle or campfire. Telekinetic or telepathic powers will be limited as well. The kitsune cannot read thoughts (well, other than Ayaka's) and neither will your mask. But telepathic speaking will be possible, and minor manipulation with your mind will function as well (no lifting and throwing around whole persons, but you can definitely open a door or levitate yourself, if the form would be expected to do so).
4: No Refunds - =)
And that's basically it! While I'm not an artist myself, feel free to approach any other commissioner or TF specialist to use Ayaka's products, or, if you're a burgeoning artist, draw a sequence yourself! If you have any further questions, don't be afraid to ask in the comments below!

Lol I was SURE she had a kitsune form...
That or her family’s spirit could possess her through it or something.
And ah, I see. Kinda wondering what happens to someone who steals a mask then...
No I’m not volunteering. I’d rather be the kind that makes her very happy (although I’d prefer having the skin-tone mask still, just to be safe).

Nah. The spirit “lives” in her. The mask is just for aesthetic. Under great duress it could take more direct control and perhaps make slight alterations to her body as it does so, but never a full transformation.
And unfortunately Ayaka can do little about mask thieves past the disclaimer in part two. But if one were caught... Well.
She has insect masks. Teeny tiny little ones. Or perhaps a rat would be more your speed? The thing about the small masks is you can’t have them leave behind human masks. Well, you could, but she’s not going to tell them that.
