“Steady,… aiming,… getting deeper,…
It would be a lot easier to aim if this quicksand would hold still for a moment or two,…
Steady,… and,…. Now!!"

The series continues with the sixth beautiful image from the outstanding
toughset of my OC, Ember, still dealing with a some troublesome jungle quicksand.
A very dynamic and lovely image, directly following up the previous image where she was aiming her knife to throw at an overhead vine, here we see her in the midst of that throw. The motion in this picture is simply wonderful, not only in the motion lines of her arm and of the dagger slicing through the vine, but in her entire posture, the position of her arm, the swaying of her leaves and hair flower, the movement of her hair. The angle I think adds to the dramatic feel of this piece, angled down to show the path of the knife and its target, yet still showing her stuck in the quicksand, and giving a great view of her hair spread on the surface behind her, and showing a glimpse of her right arm stuck down in the sands, still holding onto her submerged spear. I love the look of her hair spread atop the sands, how the red really stands out against the black and the wonderful shine of it all, as well as off of her tropical tan skin and armbands. The quicksand looks very treacherous, so thick and gooey as it pulls in around her trim waist, giving a feeling of the surface rolling in just around her as she sinks deeper in, and the little bit of her front leaves sticking up is a very nice touch. Her expression is quite fitting, focused on her target and still determined to get out of this sticky situation, while giving off a feeling of no fear as she struggles to free herself from the treacherous jungle quicksand.
Another thrilling image in this remarkable series.
Stay tuned and see what happens.
