Shit...
Of course, I'm somewhat surprised that it only toppled THAT building with the explosives I had. But hey, I guess one crushed lizard is all I can ask for in this situation. Too bad the mouse survived... What the hell was it doing anyway? Just before the explosives went off, it seemed to try and jump at the lizard. And here I thought I was going a little crazy. Granted, watching it barely scramble out of the rubble was a bit sad. The damn thing must be in a hell of a lot of pain, with the metal in its leg. Can it even walk after that? Wait, why the hell am I caring? That thing tried killing me... Right?
I like to think I am a good person, but something about the mouse caught me off guard. I guess the thing didn't see me, else I'd be fried quicker than a turkey. But while watching the thing limp away, I noticed that all the while, its eyes were on the dead lizard. As if it was afraid the beast would jump up and run after it. Sad to say, no lizard mouse chase scene was there to behold. With the thing limping off, white-furred hand holding its bloody leg. "Nothing should ever bleed that much..." The sight was sickening, crimson liquid dribbling onto the pavement below. If only I had another rocket, I could end that things miserable suffering right now.
But like hell I was going to let that THING get away... I had to take several minutes to get out of the building. I could barely see part of its foot lower to the ground. Did it collapse? Who knows? Who cares..? Now wasn't the time for this! It tried crushing me! Even probably led that lizard back to me! On the walk over, I felt my pockets. You would think that somebody wouldn't forget a grenade in their front pocket... But... thinking of just how helpless I was in its hand. How easily it could have crushed me... Ground me into a pulp... It wasn't very comforting to think just how easily that could have been the end... Or worse, slowly choked me out... I bet it would have enjoyed doing that.
Thankfully there was an abundance of broken cars haphazardly strewn about the street. The perfect cover for bird-watching, or... Mouse watching... It seemed to be able to get the central part of the pipe out of its leg. But I could tell that part of it must have broken off, lodged in the mouse's thigh. Its foot began thumping the ground as it painfully tried digging the metal out of its leg to no avail. I could barely stomach watching, but I felt that I was forced. Like watching a car-crash happen, you can't watch, but you can't look away... Gripping the grenade in my hand tighter, I felt something stopping me. Why didn't it kill me there and then? It was then that the mouse's attention shifted up... It's eyes widening in terror... It wasn't looking at me.

It seems that Warren is finally realising that Alice isn't with the lizards and that she doesn't want to kill him since she could have easily done that when she had him in her grasp. And oh boy, did Alice see more Rynar coming in their direction? I Wonder how they're going to escape them.
