The alligator's last name is as a mystery as his past, but what was known about him was he had been bodybuilding everyday, hoping he would be strong enough to defend his friends from bullying. To start with, he was found unhatched at an orphanage, prompting its female owner to take him in. As a child, Goryu had to face other kids bullying him, forcing the alligator to avoid them in numerous ways. The owner was aware of this behavior and tried to stop or even punish the kids for bullying Goryu, only to defy her later. One night, few bullies became fed with the owner saving others from getting hurt and shot her with a pistol she placed on a desk exposed. Her death caused chaos amongst the orphanage kids and prompted them to run out of the building, including Goryu who ended cornered by few murderous kids, only to saved by a middle-aged musclegut crocodile named Bedrock Peterson who quickly brought Goryu to his hometown, where he would raise his newly adopted son up in their sewer home for years to come.

A decade later in another city, witnesses accounted that a dozen of school bullies tried to humiliate their few targets when Goryu, as an early teen, came out of a manhole and willingly stepped up for the weak. Using wits and agility, the alligator managed to save the prey and trap bullies in an elavator through an emergency button before escaping through the shaft. Later at night, the same victims would find Goryu going to the sewers where he lived. They found him to be shy yet friendly and hospitable as he offered snacks he bought back in downtown. Feeling in debt for Goryu for saving them, they offered to stay with him for the rest of the night, admitting they themselves could not find strength to defend themselves. Goryu agreed, and replied that he had been in need of friends since he had no parents.

Two days later, Goryu earned friendship in a few comrades but serious ire from the bullies, provoked into using rocks, knuckles, broken bottles, and even a few pistols. Once the bullies confronted Goryu, the latter agained trapped them, this time on a wet cement pool. However, given that the bullies' recent attack on Goryu cost few casualties and left tens injured, he was confronted by the principal who pointed out that they were living in the city where violence prevailed even in schools. Despite the principal's 40 years of attempts to curb violence in his high school, the next week starting the school games, one of the bullies hijacked a gas truck and drove it straight to the event, while the rest stole explosives and assault rifles to prepare to get revenge on Goryu for their comeuppance. As police immediately noticed the hijacked gas truck speeding towards the school, few of the bullies were forced to gun down the police cars to stop interference, consequently summoning SWAT teams to the affected area and raising suspicions from students outside the games.

The gas truck reached the school and triggered an explosion directly at the basketball field, killing many students and staff members, as well as the hijacker bully himself. However, the bullies had intentionally set that up earlier as the target, because they knew well that Goryu loved playing basketball. So they expected Goryu to join the basketball game, but he wasn't there at all. Few bullies watching the scene were infuriated to see Goryu and his new friends coming out of the manhole nearby the school, unaware of the explosion. Nobody knows, even to this day, what they were doing inside the sewers during the disaster.

Other bullies began open fire on victims fleeing from the incident, hoping they could be able to kill Goryu and his friends, only to be then informed where the latter were actually at, but they could not stop shooting, fearing that survivors would get an upperhand if they just stopped. Having learned what happened, Goryu escorted survivors, running outside the school, down the sewers for safety.

As bullies were forced to deal with SWAT teams, another few bullies had to deal with many armed survivors before getting to corner Goryu and his friends in the sewers. Having killed or disarmed other survivors at expense of two shooters, a sole surviving bully ranted to Goryu about how he had seriously broken the bullies' pride beyond repair to the point of trying to remove their source of pain for good. The sole bully also revealed that he had planted few bombs on the dam, threatening Goryu that if the bullies failed to kill the gator, then bombs would automatically destroy the dam, drowning most of the city to dead.

However, Goryu remained firm, defending his friends and few survivors, which drove a sole bully into wrath and insanity, saying "I expected losers like you to give in! Instead you decide to risk yourself for other losers, you should have let us beat you to pulp, instead of leading us to your worthless traps! Well, allow me to make an example for ALL OF YOU!!" As the sole bully was about the press the button wirelessly linked to the bombs at the dam, he got shot in the head by the injured principal who snuck behind him. The principal, reeling from pain, lamented "For 20 years I have spent as a principal, of shielding our school from violence, to this day that has put all my efforts in vain. Goryu, everyone, I'm really sorry for letting this happen." The principal dropped a pistol before succumbing to his wounds from the explosion.

Afterwards, few surviving bullies were arrested and the entire school tragedy had cost 3/4 of all students, parents, law enforcement, and the school staff combined. Bombs at the dam were disarmed but many riots broke out all around, descending the entire city into anarchy. During this event, Goryu came to realize that his friends he saved had been orphans whose parents were killed by the same bullies for standing in their way. Seeing that his friends desperately wanted a better life outside the city, Goryu decided to stay firm and led them to his foster father's howntown, technically in the sewers in another city far away. At that time however, Bedrock passed away a month ago due to terminal cancer.

For several years, Goryu's friends would continue their studies until they finished high school while the alligator himself decided to workout everyday, in which made Goryu a gruff and muscular alligator with an intimidating voice. Even though his new changes gave anyone around him discomfort and fear, his friends nevertheless enjoyed spending time with him.

At the day they had enrolled for college, they announced to Goryu that they would leave for college. Goryu happily praised them and offered to joined them, but they declined, saying they had separate interests to pursue. However, remembering how lonely Goryu had been before they met him and fearing he would be lonely without them, they announced to Goryu that they had signed him up for the MALAKAS Project, promising to the gator that he would find new friends while keeping in touch with old ones. Goryu replied he had enough friends he wanted in his life, they acknowledged it, but they felt that he had been a great model for them long enough that they wanted him to be one to another group of friends of his own with the same purpose he did to the former: Striving with kindness for a better life. Moved by their speech, Goryu tearfully hugged his friends with joy and organized a farewell party that would last forever in their memories.

Having entered the base set for the MALAKAS Project, Goryu ended on a sperate line for a personal inspection from Timothy Soro. Timothy's 6-foot-and-five-tall body with bulging muscles, large pecs and eight-sculpted-pack abs in black and cyan shorts stunned Goryu with a blush. The fox noticed Goryu's face and allow him to touch his muscular body, causing the alligator to blush. Timothy gave out a smug smile and said to Goryu, "These guns look hotter, right? Oh yes alligator, soon you'll have bigger muscles like mine. So what's your purpose of joining the Project?" Goryu shyly replied "To make friends here?", prompting the shocked fox to ask "Do you have friends here?" Goryu replied that he simply wanted to be a good model to help those who cannot stand against bullying. Timothy, finally understanding Goryu's purpose, said "Oh right, many recruits come to here to be as big as me, if you catch my drift. However, your purpose sounds about right and genuine, most of them just answered straightforward, simply saying 'I want to be a bodybuilder just like you', which is equivalent to my actual desire to make everyone in the world a big bodybuilder, including you. One higher-up told highly about you, about how you dealt with bullies in a harmless way. Pretty impressive for I was however also told you seem shy. With that in mind, my friend has exactly what you're looking for!"

Timothy brought Goryu to his equally muscular friend Wilbur Wallaby who gathered a small group of recruits who happened to be nerds who just finished high school two weeks ago. Those nerds kept talking about how fitting they would be when they became big bodybuilders which would allow them to literally cosplay large mechs disguised as ordinary cars. Despite his voice unnerving the nerds, Goryu expressed excitement about their cosplay ideas, impressing the same nerds who noticed similar interests Goryu was displaying, in which he never did to his first friends back home. Seeing how things went well, Timothy and Wilbur left to continue their insepction.

Although those nerds feel unconfortable and stressful about taking training, but Goryu made a roundabout Few weeks later, Goryu and his new nerdy friends were called to meet Timothy and Wilbur for their promotion. First, the fox gave Goryu a calm smile and an injection with a Soldier serum, causing the alligator to bulge bigger muscles but still in the same height. Goryu was confused until Timothy reminded him "Geez Goryu, being a soldier rank demands one's body to instantly sculpt up muscles. It's also a proper chemical requirement before taking a concentrated serum, that's how it works. Oh, and you may inject some serum into your friends as well" as Timothy gave Goryu syringes. The alligator did as instructed as the group of thin nerds turned well-built and muscular, with their bellies shaped into 6-pack abs. The nerds themselves were pleased with a reward for their training they did not ask for and Goryu was filled with joy about how he also wanted to shape his old friends up back in his earlier years, but Timothy assured Goryu that he would do so once he was discharged from the project and asked him if he wanted to end his participation as a Soldier, only for Goryu to insist that he and his new friends must train harder to become Super Soldiers. Seeing excitement and confidence in them, Timothy grinned evilly, saying "Excellent, one day I will get know you guys, preferably much closer. Right, Wilbur?" Wilbur responded with a seductive smile and a lick on the fox's cheek. "Hehehe, you were once a little nerd, my wallaby. Now you're a big, mean jock just like me, but still smart." Wilbur responded with an arrogant smile as Goryu and his friends left, "Yeah, I can't help but notice the irony. Let's check on our classmates, shall we?"

Another few weeks later, Goryu and his nerdy friends were resting in their bunker one hour before midnight when Timothy and Wilbur personally walked into them to announce their promotion. Goryu willingly injected himself with a Super Soldier serum provided, triggering muscle enlargement, skeletal expansion and white spike hair growth on his head. He was amazed at first, but as he approached his nerdy friends, his excited grin turned evil as he gave other syringes he was given by Timothy. As he commanded his friends take a shot, his chilling voice, instead of scaring them, somehow turned them on, prompting them to respond with arrogant smile. They all inject themselves simultaneously as they immediately experience the procedure as Goryo did but ended a bit shorter than the alligator, albeit equally intimidating. As the nerds posed with each other, Timothy commented with pride that it was always possible for a smart guy to be as strong too while Wilbur lamented about a possible divison amongst nerds who wanted to be smart. Timothy once again offered Goryu's gang a rank of a Juggernaut in exchange of spending a week of extreme exercise in which Goryu accepted while the rest declined but was willing to stay and root for him.

One week later and Goryu earned a rank of a Juggernaut, much to his and his friends' joy. Timothy ecstatically congratulated Goryu for being a first alligator to be a Juggernaut and asked him how he felt, in which the alligator replied that he became more confident thanks to his friends, remarking how often he had been supporting his old friends before, which lead them to succeed. Timothy proudly said "And this time, your new nerdy friends' support has done the same thing to you Goryu!" while Wilbur shook his head and remarked that he had never seen Timothy so excited about someone becoming big when he had been so used to other recruits doing the same, in which Timothy admitted but reminded to Wilbur "Wilbur, bud, we're dealing with some intimating yet shy type of guy who deserves a better repayment for his efforts, well besides those in helping his old friends." Goryu confirmed the fox's statement as the alligator was often used to endure bullying even back as a child and he tried so hard to make friends in a city void of violence even amongst children. The nerds in response ran to hug him, expressing their excitement in playing cosplay as giant mechs.

Goryu and his new friends were honorably discharged and sent to Goryu's hometown which happened to be destroyed and abandoned due to internal problems, but his late foster father's sewer home remained intact. While Goryu was dismayed at the state of the town, his nerdy friends on the other hand, not so much, as they sensed opportunity with many scraps and debris to use and many ideas that came into their mind to execute. For days, Goryu and his nerdy friends had turned a ghost town into a self-sustainable place to live, even though no one was willing to come to live there. On Sunday morning after a week-long renovation, Goryu and his friends would visit his late foster father Bedrock's grave overgrown with flowers nearby his old home while the other graves were robbed and defiled away from burial holes at a church. There laid two pictures at Bedrock's grave: one on the left showing Bedrock having a good breakfast with a young Goryu in a local diner, and the other on the right showing Goryu excitedly playing games with his old friends in their farewell party. Goryu shed a tear at two pictures he picked up, thinking to himself "People close to you can't last forever, but be assured that they'll always be with you, not just in your memories but also in your heart" as it was actually said by Bedrock himself. Sensing how much Goryu missed his loved ones, the nerdy friends came to hug him close, further backing up his thought.
