No matter how fast the creation, she still had to turn, drop hands on to it, and then whatever her channel time was. Any fighter worth their salt could have reacted to that!
I think it was more hilarious she didn't put a stop to it and just watched it all go down!

so is it Full Metal Alchemist , Avatar the last airbender or Green Lantern ? The awnser is...all of the above and beyond, its nto like all of these creathed the principle, check out anime and manga from to 80's and such and it was all there.
Creativity wise you must all admit...its a cannon...in the middle of Medieval weapon and Architechture...pretty good ^^

Ok, this is why Ed’s cannon works and hers doesn’t.
1. Distract enemy first and create cannon when distracted to catch them off guard.
2. Point it towards ground so impact will shock ground as well (and possibly minimise collateral).
3. Make it gigantic so the blast catches them.

While a cannon is powerful if used right, the kind she used has no ability to swivel making its so the area of effect can only effect in front of it in a straight line, on the other hand this could be used to a much greater effect in a more confined area like a hallway, alley or other confined spaces.
